What next?

I haven't been able to find an answer for this question, after this lottery ends what happens next? is there going to be another to try to sell off the plots no one bid on? Will all the FC only wards be opened to personal housing? What happens next?

What happens next is more rounds of the housing lottery.
Eventually some or all of the FC-only wards will likely be opened for personal housing, but don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

We continue to fight for what scraps remain until they all remain full.

In which they'll remain full for what is likely a few years until they either unrestrict the still dead FC plots, we repeat that process a bit, and then we wait for them to add another ward in 8.0 or 9.0 where we can do the same thing.

Wait till next expansion for SE to add a few token wards to show they are "addressing the problem" and do nothing to actually fix the issue. Same as always.

Or you can world transfer, leave all your friends behind, and go try for a house on one of the new DCs they are adding.

I was told that after this everything just becomes free for all and we move on from it, until they add new housing wards.

Hope someone's house get taken away because they didn't log in for a while

What happens is that when THEY decide you get another chance THEY will tell you when. And if you lose again(most likely since if you don't get a house your odds gets worse and worse) you will have to wait for their goodwill of doing a band aid solution to a broken system ignoring the feedback they get in favor of "neighborhood" feeling, if you dislike it you will be told by others at this forum that you're baby raging and Yoshi-P can do no wrong.

If they wait too long with unlocking the FC wards for private buyers, then fresh shell FCs will have enough time to level up and pass the 30 day check to fill up those wards before private gets a chance.

Game needs more servers per Data Center, as things are too crowded.

That, and the demo timer needs to be reinstated permanently. No use having it if it's not being used.

What will it take for Yoshi to implement the glaring solution to this problem, which is instanced housing. The reason the housing system is so bad in this game is because he insists on wards, as long as they keep this system there will never be enough houses and there will always be people desperately wanting one.

Now you wait a bit over a week and then bid again, when the odds are even worse. Or you make a shell FC if you want to increase your odds.
Don't count on Square to adjust the ward situation anytime soon.

Add more servers and never let more accounts on the server than have housing for. Or just make housing instant where click on the sign to enter your friends housing plot or able to teleport to it.

I think you could still solve the problem with wards, and giving people communities and neighborhoods they can build. Allow FCs or groups of people with the resources to buy an instanced sub-division (i.e 500mil for your own division, which isn't unreasonable) and it's yours to populate how you see fit. Maybe this is something that can exist in conjunction with instanced housing...

Yes do away with the demo timer, ty. Or make it longer than a month. I would like to take a break without having to sub q.q Housing tax is real.

They already have, everyone who wanted to have a solo FC already did that. No need to worry.

Could double the plots they have now and make a housing area and an fc area with same amount of plots and wards to seperate them. Maybe add duplex and fourplex housing plots each with there own small yard plot.
