What's with all the bait threads lately?

There has been a lot popping up recently and I'm shocked how many just fall for it. I'm pretty good at baiting so I known when I'm being baited. I'm so good at it one would even call me a master of it.

People are dumb and nothing matters.

It is called forums PvP. :)

Honestly, if the WoW forums taught me anything is that people do that when bored.

Yeah I would say boredom as well. Still wish if you ignore someone, you don’t see threads they make. And that you can ignore through mobile app (I’m using it now and can only ignore on pc forums)

Constantly mastering bait. Always on the look out for a place and time to use our rods, and work away in silence mastering bait, so that we can all prove to be the best seamen and provide the freshest master baiter experience.
So come on down, my fellow master baiters and show the forums how excellent a seaman you are.

Sometimes, all you need is a good 'bait to release all the pent up stress and frustration. :)

I'm not great at fishing but you know what I'm good at? Playing with myself.

Seriously as a DPS I can do the instanced story quests pretty easily. Just the other day I was fighting this dude and he had a huge weapon. I had to beat him off with both my hands...cause that's just what monks do. Anyway he was always thrusting hard and at one point he was like "A TEST OF YOUR REFLEXES!" and I wasn't ready for it and just took it to the face. It was pretty messy but my dude has great stamina so I recovered just fine and fisted him real good.

People on the forums have the time to take the bait and bait the fisher.

One of the ways is to turn it into a civilized and productive discussion when that wasn't their intention.

That's because some people thrive on being the impopular "herald of controversial opinions" with these treads just because they get a lot of engagement, even if negative. It's like... they lay down every night fulfilled to have that achievement in their life.

Literally if people stopped posting they would eventually die out, but alas is the same for every mmorpg forums. There's always going to be fish for the bait.

I think it ranges from bait to legitimate questions. The problem is that some topics are so... well a little, spicy, that it's easy to confuse the two. I'd say to pay attention to the names, their post history, and the topic in question. Otherwise a legitimate question (as spicy as it may be) can be overlooked.

People are bored. I'm just biding my time since my sub ran lmao.

Put simply, one of the most prominent master baiters has gotten bored with a different game and decided to return to the game they're obsessed with.

Fishing in the game is boring, fishing in the forums though...

I mean I guess they're new at least
