Daily Reminder: Eureka Pyros is full of RMT bots.

Real problems with the game, that never gets any attention from square enix.

Remove the SOUTH bunny fate from Pyros, no more RMT Bots in Eureka.

Keep this thread going, get it some attention. Too many years has this problem been ignored by the development team.

Totally agree, that is a problem that need to fixed without harming the real player by reducing the rewards.

But I remember hearing something about that one big and active forum's post is better then multiple small one's.
So let's try to keep the already existing one active by just daily posting about the frustration and problem's the bots are causing.

also it's not likely that stopping them in Eureka in particular would get rid of all RMT.

Not that it shouldn't happen, but they just move to wherever has the most Gil-per-hour.

Gotta solve the bots, not the area.

There is not much to say about that. I also saw those bots and wondered why they don't get stopped.

If anything, they should just remove the gil from the bunny FATEs because they've already shown distaste for the amount of gil entering the economy by nerfing levequests and axing the gil rewards from Rowena turn-ins.

Or they could just ban bots and not nerf things around them...

Shouldn't we want specific, especially bot-attractive zones... so we could then more easily remove them?

Though I guess that kind of requires the latter step.

That's what everyone would prefer but at this point I feel like in-game DPS meters/metrics are more likely then that ever becoming a thing.

They've historically only been consistent about targeting the lowest hanging fruit; namely the RMT spammers and teleport hacking ARR gil farmers.

the only way to effectively combat bots is to remove the market. ban the people who buy gil. start with a 5 to 10 day vacation for the first offence. its been against the ToS of every mmo since the beginning of mmos.

come down heavily on the buyers, once that gets around, you see far less demand for the bot's product, which will always be the real cash from selling gil. it would be easy for SE, just follow the money. and no one can say that SE does not have the server side data pool to do this. no need for any special client side program, just the will of SE to put their foot down and finally do something aside pay the STF to drink coffee or tea...

I've seen some RMT websites advertising themselves as selling "clean gil" that cannot be traced back to illicit activity, but at this point I'm inclined to think that just means "farmed by bots using methods that don't involve hacking".

considering enforcement of any kind seems nonexistent, they ALL could advertise that.

likely means more that "none of our buyers has ever been caught"

Ban one bot and another appears to replace the first. As long as there's a market for what the bots are farming, the bots will be there to take advantage.

If you really want to get rid of bots, you need to get rid of what's keeping them in business - their customers. It can't be that difficult to trace where the gil farmed is ending up.

Workshops and gardens. And possibly some "slaves" using macros to craft end game gear. I could do that myself but i'd get incredibly bored after a while. For someone who's doing it as a job to feed their family, they'll keep doing it no matter how bored they get.

20+ bots in each zone, couldn't even get a rabbit from the fate and gave up. A GM could take 5 minutes and clean up both areas, it's not hard whatsover to identify them.

People keep saying another bot will pop up and yes they will but that's another purchase or a game copy and subscription. Ban bot after bot until it costs more for them to get new accounts than what their making. I would gladly do an hour of bot cleanup a day for FREE.

except GM's are not allowed to do any bot busting. thats the job of the 4 person Special Task Force in Japan. yes.. its laughable. 4 people for ALL the worlds.. and I suspect they do not do much outside of the Japanese servers

Another bump because it is still happening.
A group of 8 from twintania, all with the exact same lvl 80 crafted gear and the same normal chocobo moving the same ways as a Bulk and then randomly split to move to their bunnys.....

if eureka bots are anywhere near as bad as overworld fate bots, nuke them from space. I saw one with a TEA title on our server. disgusting

those ones are generally accounts that got scammed and now used as bots pretty sad

but yeah there is loads of bots in Pyros pretty bad and all are done with EW MSQ since they all just use the free AF gear

ahh, that sucks to hear. I think this particular one was a bit different because they are 90 dk, 90 mining, 90 bot, 90 alch, nothing else unlocked, and in a small FC with another bot with the same skills, nothing else unlocked/3x lvl 2 placeholders.

Like, if this cat got scammed it was when they had hit level 70 on one class, done TEA, and had done nothing else in the game but gather. Pretty fishy

In all likelyhood it's just some hardcore raider's farming alt, not someone who got scammed; particularly with ALC being the sole DoH job they maxed out.

It's not uncommon for raiding statics or FCs to have bots constantly farming tinctures for progression purposes.

Why is there not a megathread for Eureka bot posting already? I've seen several of these threads already and from what I can also determine, megathreads are something Square Enix prefer when dealing with feedback?

Because I did not find the other thread.
So this is the mega thread now.

Also, they are still very active on the light DC and apparently more are otw, because I've seen a new group from another server standing on the pier.

Also, Pagos is full of them.
15 characters, same gear, same chocobo, new player, generic random name, no title...

Really, just have 1-3 humans who take care of them...
It is demotivating to "play" with so many bots it it does also harm the normal player who have unnecessary difficult acaled up NMs.

Ill never get why they dont just go out and buy gil/gear and follow all the traces for some time... And maybe get Paypal/whatever to freeze these accounts...

Is anyone starting Eureka for the first time going to be affected by the bots?

Just wondering as I'm interested in getting into it but probably not if they adversely affect the Eureka experience.

I’ve recently guided a fresh Eurekan newbie from lv1 to clearing BA. All I did was prepping a verni cloak for them and tell the dos and don’ts in the zone. The rest (Exploration, Prepping, Grinding) was their own earned hard work.

At its worst, the bots will just make your spawned NMs scaled to the amount of players in the instance: they will have more HP. It will start becoming an issue if you’re not grouping up with other bunch however.

Otherwise it’s not impossible. If you’re trying to do bunnies then that might not be worthy of your time.

Depends on your time playing.
On prime time you have about 30 other real player who do fates.
So enough that the additional HP caused by the bots does not have to much of a impact.

When you play in other times and you try to spawn and kill fates alone.... That it is extremely difficult.
Killing a fate alone in a empty instance is easy.
Killing a fate alone that scales to 10ppl because of bunny fate bots becomes difficult and takes a lot longer.

But, you don't have these bots on the very first Island.
So you can start eureka without a problem.

And another ban wave that did nothing against the Eureka Bots.

Bots that usually farm bunny fates decided to kill some mobs on Primal. Quite odd to see. All the bots follow the BRD which looks like a real player, the BRD tags the enemies then the bots attack and kill

You guys are making me too scared to even open up the zones on the character I have finally gotten to a level and point in the MSQ where she can. I don't want to get picked up in a bot sweep by accident. Is there any reason I need to open it?

Don't worry.
SE will not accidently Ban normal player.

You still can enter and finish all 4 Eureka island.
But you should do it during prime time when it is more active with real player's. It is also more fun to do with others.
