Requests/Suggestions for Mod Feature Implementation

I figured I'd make a thread for submitting feedback to request/suggest some mods for consideration to implement in the game to enhance FFXIV for everyone. There are plenty of videos out there now showing mod functionalities so feel free to look them up but please don't use them as I don't want any of us to get the hammer. Please keep the thread to focus on requests/suggestions and not debates on mods or whatever.

Why make this? While the FFXIV experience is really good there is always room for improvements like any other video game. People create Mods because something is unsatisfactory or lacking with the current in game features/QoL (Quality of Life). So I figured with Yoshi-P mentioning he will take time to look into popular ones, why not help out with giving some feedback to implement and/or consider some items to implement.

General rules for those who don't know:
1. Please refrain from requesting the DPS meters! Yoshi-P has mentioned multiple times that there will be no implementation of a DPS meter. If anything, lets work together to find an alternative that is satisfactory for us and okay with Yoshi-P. It may be difficult but it doesn't hurt to try and collaborate for a solution.
2. Refrain from using mod names or link/describe ways to get the mod you are referencing. While I do feel referencing the mod name could help yoshi-p and devs with research, it's best to avoid that to prevent getting a hammer. If you do reference the mod via name, that is a risk you take with the forum moderators.

When you post, be constructive and elaborate on your idea if it may need explaining. With response posts, please be constructive so that it can enhance the idea of the original post (i.e. don't mock ideas or anything silly like that as it's a waste of time and space). Keeping the posts this way might not only help keep this thread focused and productive but also help make it's way to Yoshi-P and the devs.

Could we have speech bubble in the game? Just seeing it makes me envious of pc players not to mention it would enhance immersion. This feature is something I would use over the chat box when in the main world (overworld? outside of duty's).

Can we have our cooldown timer numbers larger and centered on our skill? I have seen a mod where it adjusts the cool down timer from being in the bottom left corner to be larger and centered. I do hope we can have the option to have the cool down timer larger as I know where my skill is on my hotbar and don't need to worry about it. While I am aware that the skill darkens and has a clock feature to show it's reset, I have heard others prefer to see the number over a visual indicator. While I'm indifferent on it, I figured I'd request this on behalf of those who have said that they would like this so it's here.

Can we have our own debuff on the enemy in the enmity list? When we target the enemy or have it as the focus target we see all the buffs and debuffs. While it's helpful to see everyone's contribution, it isn't helpful for me to identify where my own debuff is and most importantly it's not as noticeable when my debuff expires. Having only my debuff on an enemy appear in the enmity list would help with this. I would say have it show on our buffs bar but that can get crowded from everyone else's buffs applied to you.

Can we have the HP & MP bar separated and allow disabling of the MP bar? I've heard there is a mod out there that removes the MP bar because it's simply not used by some DPS'. I main SAM (Not since 1 week into kaiten removal for context if anything else changed) and I have yet to use any MP. Why would the MP bar need to be visible if the job doesn't use any MP at all. Back in ARR, I was wondering why MP didn't switch to TP where classes were solely working with TP instead of MP to help reduce hud bloat.

Can we have the names contain either the healer, tank or dps or even the job icon when in a party? I've seen various mods of this but it would be great to easily identify in the chat the class of the player we talking too in the team.

Please read this part fully before jumping to conclusion/assumptions.
Can we have more/enhanced audio queues for mechanics in the game extending into trials/raids and their higher difficulties?

FFXIV relies heavily on visual identification. This goes for many games so it's not too big of a surprise. This isn't to say we need a feature to help those hard of seeing. The primary point is that the amount of things to pay attention to visually can become overwhelming and hard to keep track of. I believe having more audio identifiable mechanics can help relieve some reliability on visualy identifiable mechanics and spread the demand on the human senses. I'm not saying we need call outs that tell us what to do like "right of boss", "spread", "Stack on Lavender Listhea". Susanno Trial is probably the best I can think of. "The sea's part for we alone!" & "Earth and Stone at our beck (bek?) and call!" are both a noticeable identifier for a mechanic. Having the boss give a particular and/or noticeable shout, grunt, etc connected to a mechanic can help alleviate the heavy reliance on visual queues. Pandaemonium 1 has a loud chain noise indicating an upcoming mechanic, however this becomes difficult to hear among the fellow WoL's skill sound effects. If there could be a way to lower mine and other's effects and increase the boss/enemy sound effects that would be amazing.

Having audio signals for when one of our skills are up again would be a nice addition too. Maybe a soft hum or something.

I do rely heavily on those who spend time optimizing and figuring out rotation as after work I'm mentally exhausted to even do much and with DPS meters allowed, I figured I'd give a shot at an alternative to implement strictly within the S3 dummies' system. Each idea is something I've seen and should be taken separately instead of as one package. Those who try to figure out the rotation and what not will probably have a better idea but at least this gets things started.

- Skill activation/registered tree
I've seen a a mod feature that shows the executed/registered skills used on the dummy. This would help with identifying rotations easier and seeing where one could optimize at certain points.

- Buff/debuff uptime results
An indicator showing how much we keep our buffs/debuffs up for the duration of the battle.

- 5/10 times feature
Simply defeating the dummy once doesn't mean you are in fact ready. It is a good idea to go through the dummy 3 times to make sure you in fact do have the rotation down. For those who already know the rotation, having them run 5 to 10 times in a row to figure out if the gear is high enough is rather wasteful of our time. 15/30 minutes of combat time only with 5/10 extra minutes (give or take) resulting in 20/40+ minutes. Having a feature where the skill is sent 5 or 10 times and the results show the seconds left or gone over compared to the time limit.

- Efficiency Percentile
While we do have seconds to base our dps on, having a percentage based on how quickly we defeat the dummy. defeating the dummy with 0 seconds left is 100%. Having 32 seconds left can increase it beyond 100%. Maybe include how often the buff/debbuf up on the dummy and self. While I get that this may be complex, its a idea and if others can take this and flesh it further, please do.

Can we have a more visual way of determining physical v magical damage?

Currently I have no idea what is dealing physical or magic damage. From me to the enemy and the enemy to me. Maining dark knight, I barely (if at all) use Dark Mind as I don't know what deals magic damage. I can't even tell if it even helps with dungeon pulls either.

Can we have a market board lookup feature?

I've seen a mod where it simply looks up at item for you thats on the market board. Granted I understand the Role Play element, but going to Rad-zat-han and the nearest MB takes a ridiculous amount of time and it's not really enjoyable going back and forth.

Can we have the feature to disable being able to select playable characters via mouse click?

I've read that there is a mod to prevent being able to select players and only allow enemies/bosses to be targeted. While using the mouse to move the camera sometimes I select a player without realizing it and lose dps.

Can we get some enhancements to place items on the wooden lofts?

There's a mod that seems to enable x, y, z axis that allows better functionality of indoor housing furnishings. As someone getting into this, it would be a great addition for sure. Currently it's a glitch one needs to perform in order to get a bed, a chair or even a couch raised to where the loft would be and it's just very unfriendly. It also makes the lofts rather useless since by default you can't place items on them.

Can we get a better indicator when we are out of range for a skill?

Currently it's just a small red x on the bottom left of the skill. Having the option to have these larger and centered would be great to have and more noticeable. Maybe even have them gray out.

Can we get an option to have the Limit Break Gauge compact?

I don't know if a mod for this exists but I figured I'd ask it since it is rather large and with the Job resource thingy's being able to become compact, why can't it be the same for our LB gauge?

Can we have the ability to see the shields we have on our own HP bar?

The only place currently is on the party list and I don't know why we don't have this on our own HP bar. Maybe have the HP shield bar be blue if needed?

Can we get a enhanced Color Blind system in the game?

Listening to some youtubers and reading comments, apparently the color blind feature in the game is lacking that many seem to be turning to mods in order to be able to play the game.
