So, as seen in this link here, I remember hearing a while back that because of the battle reforms, regimens were going to be temporarily removed. What happened to them?
Are we ever going to get our precious battle regimens back?
Since I play XIV like computers, and thusly I know a lot about game development -- I propose the following battle regimens:
As mentioned by a member in my LS, MP is already a restriction if you're not careful. Would you like to see melee classes told that if they attack too often they have to and sit in the corner until their stamina recovers? That's horrible for the flow of battle! Why should mages sit out on half of the battle while the melee are not punished for anything... why are they able to hit the mobs at little cost?? That's unfair to all players involved! I want to be able to use holy and use Stone as much as I can. What good is a WHM that cannot DPS?
1. Enhancing Magic + 2 Attack Spells--> MP costs for all spells are reduced to zero for the next 5 minutes.
Also, on certain boss monsters *cough*Chimera*cough* damage is too low. If mages keep running out of MP, how is damage supposed to be dealt? While the mages are sitting there in "Bad Game Design Induced Time Out", the melee just pretend that they can actually do damage. What the heck, SE? What happened to balance?
2. 3 weapon skills --> 999999 Attack
Also, I think that some monsters hit too hard. You should adjust for that, too. I don't want to play a game that has me get killed over and over again. It's discouraging, frustrating, dissapointing... and above all... it lowers my self-esteem.
3. 3 enhancing magic ---> 999999999999 Defense and Vitality
The "adjustments" made to WAR/PLD are less than optimal. How can a WAR take out a bunch of ants in CC, when his/her AOE is reduced? How can a PLD keep hate, when all it does is prance around, healing itself? Seriously, you gave up 10 stat points so that it could have more HP??? SE, I demand that you make up for it with the following:
4. Ballad + Paeon + Minuet --> Tank Shoots a Rainbow of Death out of His/Her Mouth, engulfing the mob in flames.

I want it back... With the addition of combos it could add a whole new layer! I liked the fact that you could depend on melees to set DoTs and debuffs just through team coordination.

BRs were incredibly fun as long as everyone in the group knew what they were doing. (Lets face it, most people had no clue how to use them.) Please bring them back!

Curious if a combo opener on one job, while in a regimen, would allow a combo action on another job.
Example: Dragoon uses Heavy Thrust, which opens Steel Cyclone for Warrior (regardless of TP or recast) which opens Spirit's Within for Paladin (again regardless of TP or recast) which opens a free Curaga combo for WHM (regardless of recast or MP) which opens a free Thundara combo (regardless of recast or MP).
Epic inter-class combos? :D -

The only time they failed for me was due to user error, ie. everyone is queued up and nobody started the thing. My LS held BR practice sessions quite a few times, they worked 100% of the time unless a user screwed up.Quote:
