Eureka Pyros Update: Materia DC

Bots are still here, and still not banned since day 1 of Materia opening up.

Picture doesn't do it justice, on average there are over 50 bots in the instance and they have been here since day one.

I am sure the 4 person team has no definitive proof yet. give it a year or two...

Im genuinely curious

If there are 50 bots, that means they bought the game and are paying subs.
What could possible be so lucrative? Especially given the fairly small player base on Materia?

Billions of gil per week from bunny fate.

Get all of their character names. Report them to special task force.

Yeah, this is an absolute disease afflicting Eureka, It really saps a lot of motivation to do the content. At this point, I just want them to remove the gil reward from the bunny chests and bake it into the notorious monster kills, say like 2k gil per NM. It'd incentivise actually contributing to the content, instead of just waiting around to do bunnies.

Or just ban the bots doing the farming, if all they ban is where the gil goes, it does nothing to solve the issue plaguing Eureka.

I have a list of all the names and servers they're on, and the things that link them all is they've all got GLD at lvl 3 and one job at lvl 90, which vary. Obviously someone is paying for not only subs, but MSQ skips and job boosts for these accounts.

This is apparently prevalent on NA datacentres as well, just nothing is being done.

Considering that the army of hacking bots I mentioned in this topic is still around after over two weeks, I kind of doubt these Eureka bots will be dealt with any month/year soon when they're not doing anything that's blatantly impossible.

I think they nerfed Eureka.. you get echo and probably solo farming bunny fates possible (WAR probably still viable.).. also you can join bots (If you cant beat them join them :D) you will probably still get a bunny and it will guide you to treasure.

50 accounts all earning 10-100k every 10 minutes or so, doing fates 24 hours a day earn a stupid amount of gil + other stuff to sell

on average your looking at around 200-300m a week these bots are making

Open the Player Search and tick the sprout, then turn off everything but BRD and archer...
Run it and see...

These will be on the way to join the others. Only 25 right now in AU peak, but they rise and fall during the day, yesterday during NA peak there were 84 of these two character firstname sprout archers/bards over here.

We can hope STF helped clean things up, the patterns in all this are so clear, but sometimes I doubt anything ever changes.... PvP and addons, Eureka Bunny Fates, and 2 letter bards.

All we can do is try to have fun amongst the bots and cheaters.

Edit: It's of course possible these 2 letters are all canon fodder, the ones with real names aiming for Eureka with same stats mixed into these more disposable/reportable ones to hide in the noise of it all.

How about try kill them with mobs aoe around it in sneaky way? :)

You will be banned within hour's for doing that.
It doesn't matter if it's a random player who sees that or the bot chars who reports you.

I bet these bots don’t care what server they plant themselves on. The DC travel is supposed to open soon. They can take that Gil anywhere, right? Terrible. Just keep reporting them. Hopefully, they get banned.

I'm not sure if trading/outside market use will be a thing with cross-DC since the issue was raised of people potentially tanking other DCs markets or abusing it. So, might not be able to do much except farm it in other DCs to take back to their original server.

Had a World of Darkness run earlier that had to be abandoned because one of the groups somehow ended up being 6/8 MSQ bots and couldn't do the atomos trash pull, so the instance couldn't progress and we couldn't kick them out of the party either.

Naming scheme was identical to the ones in the picture someone else posted, but they were using a variety of jobs.

How on earth do bots run Eureka without absolutely getting pounded into dust? I set foot in there one time and everything wanted to eat me alive.

They're all at a high enough level that they can't proximity aggro the enemies in the area the southern bunny chests spawn within, so I assume they have a script that is able to just grind a freshly skipped character to that point.

Really killed the price of the flame yetis, for better or worse.

So I just got back on FF after a little break and saw my friend that I play FF with was in Eureka. I called him a cheater in Discord and he was super confused so I decided to call him and see.

His account got hacked and they were botting his actual account to farm in Eureka. He hasn't played in a month or two because of school and just taking a break so we were both really confused. He logged in to see what was going on and as he was getting to our house the bot logged back on and booted him from the game. So he went in and changed his password and now we just wait and see.

The bot had farmed 60-90 of each Materia that he had caught who knows how long this was going on for. He doesn't know if any of his gil in his retainers was touched because he doesn't remember how much he had in there before the break started.
