Drop Rate On Primals??

The drop rate on primals seems to have been nerfed again. After 33 kills on moogle post last patch, I've gotten 2 nuts, no weaps. I've never had any problems like this before, and I've never seen the nut charms drop like this. Like they did before the droprate was "raised". I've even been trying to run moogle on different moon phases, it's getting rediculous. Anyone else noticed lower drop rates on things since last patch?

No, I really think it was lowered. Every party I've been in, not only have I not gotten anything, not even nuts, nobody else has either. Saw 1 weap and 3 nuts drop out of those 31- now 33 wins. And that's out of like 7 or 8 different parties. Nuts used to drop a LOT more than they do now, that much im sure of.

Oh, and that's 8*33=264 chances at drops, with 6 drops all together counting my 2 nuts. That's a 2.3% droprate. Theres your statistics.

Actually, that "drop rate" it's just number of your runs/8 , which actually isn't drop rate probability. It's just..nothing

I posted stats to strengthen my claim. I made this thread to see if anyone noticed anything similar. You can disagree, but coming on the thread calling it retarded means your opinion isn't valued at all. So sorry.

I've got 2 moogle weapons since the last patch, and have won maybe 15 times since then. That's not counting the drops that went to party members, kuponuts, and weapons that fell on the floor. I don't think anything has changed.

Thanks for an actual post. Been talking to alot of people around balmung and as unlikely as it may seem, maybe a lot of people are just having terrible luck. bleh.

33 runs and 6 drops , Wow you're pretty lucky.
I've heard of many ppl who do more over than 70 runs with 1 nut in the party
Yes just 1 nut from 70+ runs , wanna know what's it like?

After god only know how many tapers I've used(I think I'm on the 5th stack now), I'm up to 8/10 inferno totems and 1/7 Ifrit weapons(Harpoon). I got the harpoon on my 20th win, and actually got another one to drop recently which of course dropped right to the ground. Everyone that started doing Ifrit with me and some that did it after me are at least 5/7 or they have 7/7 and have moved on to other things after.

We just suffer from terrible luck. The drop rates suck and they've always sucked but I don't think they were lowered anymore. Some people are just blessed with awesome luck and actually do seem to get a weapon every 10 wins.

I did 4 runs last night, got 2 moogle weapon and 1 charm. Droprate is 50% according to statistics. Also got new materias from materializing them woot for moneyz.

Look man, on moogle post patch, out of 5 runs, i got 2 nuts.

Ive gotten 7 weapons over the course of 6 runs

I did one run. I got an item. 100% drop rate.

With a sample of less than 100 you are wasting your time trying to compute statistics.
With a sample of at least 1000 you can start to establish a trend. This also is not too hard. 100 runs with 8 people is 800 samples already.

Now, for some super sloppy maths: Generally every run i'm in everyone says what they've gotten. Typically someone gets a weapon every 2-3 runs. And someone gets a totem/nut every 2 runs. Therefore you could speculate the figures are around:
1/16 for totem (6% drop rate)
1/24 for weapon (4% drop rate).

Therefore, if we want to keep numbers easy, on average it would not be unusual to see a 5% drop rate for a weapon to fall (no guranatees on duplicates. You can see my better-maths post on that).

Does this mean: I run 20 times, I get a weapon?
No.
Does this mean: I run 100 times, I get a weapon?
No.
Does this mean: If I watch what the drop rate over 10,000 runs will I see a trend of approximately 5% being observed, plus or minus a few percentage points.

drop rate is good i got all wep besides conj and axe in a matter of few days and over 16 nuts so no the drop rate is fine. It's called bad luck keep trying

I think the problem is that it is based on luck....anyway they hadn't changed drop rates. Let's talk about AV and CC drop rates....
