fix this endless cc shit -.-

rly there are otons of cc and i cant even get out of it with purrification and allways get killed from it -.- give us back the immunity from before. why the heck was it even removed? did the devs even try the pvp how it is now or did they just looked at it and thought "yeah its maybe ok but we dont care now" ?

Just tested it, if you actually purify a correct debuff you get the 5 seconds immunity as you did before the patch today.

i did and i got stunned instantly after and purfiy has a so long cd it makes it nearly useless bcause after the 5 sec the next chain comes and you are dead. the whole system looks like some trainee did it

Silence still glitches out Purify. If you get silenced when using it, it goes on CD but nothing is removed. I was hoping they would put in some sort of tick calculation to make up for that.

ha nice. i removed a stun and got 2 seconds after taunted . gg this system works well

PvP before was dead & it hardly had any interests so drastic changes had to be taken,

As of now the changes it brought a mix of reviews but nonetheless it made pvp more live & colour.

Some things might have to change later on & I hope they do,

I am just proud pvp is once again live & not just left aside in the wasteland

Happy to see most players engaging actively on it

this game doesnt even need pvp.. and i bet right now 70% of the pvp players are just WoW players that came from blizz to us

Truely, not being able to control your character is peak game design.
Imagine the people who came up with this at squeenix.
They were like "feels like players are able to play the game a bit too freely, this is problematic, let's fix it. Let's introduce tons of crowd control and one-shot mechanics to make sure players spend as much time as possible at the spawn".

The game had an okay pvp before the revamp.
90% of the feedback here is all about Crystal Conflict as if the mode existed in a vacum, from people who didn't even know XIV had pvp before.

PvP was added way before & it had a meaning to it which is now active at its fullest,

Besides, ffxiv pvp is far casual & more muscle memory, awareness & working together. WoW’s pvp is far different & not going to touch on that subject mstter since i am not there,

I think you’re burnt out & just have a break & re-engage on pvp when you feel you can or not at all,

Ffxiv is huge with activities, embrace them

Riiiiiiight. That's why the queues were >30 minutes and the different modes were on a rotation.

The new PvP is a lot of fun and I'm sure with some tweaks it'll be even better. (Minus the cheaters:( )

Pvp is much better now compare to what it used to be before 6.1. Tho I wish they tone down the perma cc thing at some point.

Maybe they could change the way purify works, and make it spammable, and tied to our mp bar, like recuparate basically. That way, players are more in control of how they manage their resources:
- should I clear cc now or should I keep my mp for healing later?
- should I spam cc enemy players to make them waste their mp, or should I keep it for a better kill opportunity?

But hey, it's just an idea. I remain confident devs will put a better solution in place in the future. Just have to be patient.

FL was always popular with ~5 min queues from reset to midnight.
RW had organised days for people to queue.
Feast was indeed dead outside of season starts.

Fun or not, it's not a good thing if CC comes at the expense of other modes. Especially when CC is supposed to be a Feast replacement and Feast always had issues with being dead outside of the first couple of weeks of a new season and a history of abuse and match fixing.

Coming from someone who plays a crap ton of MOBAs and competitive PvP games, the CC in the game is extremely excessive. I absolutely love the new direction they've taken with PvP and it's wonderful, minus the CC. Almost every game makes it so that you have a small window (usually a few seconds) before you can be afflicted with the same status effect again, much like the mythical Purify added effect. At the very least they need to make it so that no stun lasts more than 1.5 seconds. In such a fast paced game, any stun over that limit is a guaranteed death when dealing with experienced players. So Yea OP is right, the CC is out of control.

Any one who designed this and thought it was ok to put out is either just bad at their job or has a mental illness.

Purify needs to be resilience FIRST as an immediate effect and probably longer effect. Maybe 10 seconds. Then as a secondary effect remove any current status effects. The way it works now its having the same issue Superbolide had. They can fix this. They have before. They really need to.

You are missing that the effect simple doesn't work. Yes in a perfect scenario it works but mid match any person who has played CC for more than 5 minutes can tell you they've been stunned, purified and immediately stunned again. The snapshot mid match does not work and leads to endless CC chains. Add in Polymorph is immune to purify and you get a scenario that does not work as intended.

PvP is vastly inferior now, imo, and cc is a big part of it. At least FL is broken with all the CCs.
The main reason peeps think it's better now is that SE hyped it up like crazy. It's fashion. The skill ceiling has been lowered by several floors too, so it has a way bigger mainstream appeal. My dog could play this and probably randomly win sometimes.

what makes you think that's not going to happen again?
everyone is doing crystal conflict right now because it's the fastest way to get the loot and the newness factor will wear off very soon

Only reason pvp is even remotely alive right now is the garo event.

The new pvp is straight up bad, also there is zero reason to play ranked pvp anymore you only get adventure plate from for your trouble...
Also when Garo event is over PVP is gonna be dead once again sadly.

I dont think sam should get a stun and a bind. they can stun lock you or hold you in an environmental damage.

war's primal rend should either be 25 sec or limited to 3 targets.

Diminishing returns on stuns.


tbvh. remove many of the stuns and/or make them .5-1 sec stuns. replace a lot of stuns with actual status affects: poison(dot), bio(dot,lower dmg output), dia(dot,lower defense), paralyze, blind, slow.

You know the debuffs that are common to ff series.

They need to add diminishing return on all the CC

I haven't had the nullify effect from purify work once since 6.1 went live. I've been playing crystal a lot and I couldn't tell you how many times just in the last few hours I purified a stun and got stunned again immediately resulting in my death.

How they managed to add this much CC to the game without any sort of diminishing returns is beyond me.

I also agree with OP. Purity is not working as it’s descriptions says. When you use it you are suppose to get 5 seconds of CC immunity and that’s not the case. I play healer and I’ve been stunned then immediately use purify then right after I get stunned again. Purify isn’t working as intended and that needs to be addressed because that is costing people allot of games. People are definitely abusing this oversight. It’s not fair.

People are missing the point here. Yes, if you duel someone, silence them, they purify and then they stun in a controlled environment the stun won't works and the resilient works. However, in actual games where a lot is happening and you're going against 5 people server tics snapshot and often results in either resilient not applying. We have all seen it. Its having the same issues Superbolide had in dying before the invulnerability kicked in. The ability doesn't work in current implementation in a realistic scenario.

If they want to reduce CC chaining they need to change the ability to first apply resilient regardless of status removed then remove status effects. It should also likely be a longer effect closer to 10 seconds. The 5 second timer with server tics is too snapshot causing issues to not work.
