Petition for a vogue emote

I think we need a vogue emote. I think other games that are not necessarily as attractive to the LGBT+ community already have vogue emotes and FFXIV is a game that is very near and dear to many LGBT+ people so… :)

Forgive me being old and kinda dumb, but what would a vogue emote be?

Isn't that a magazine? Or was it a handbag?

Also, yes lol It IS the name of a magazine. Vogueing got its name inspired on the magazine. Vogueging is kind of like posing to the beat of music (old-school vogue), so… Since vogue is a fashion magazine, vogueing got its name from that.

I will say though, it never really left the New York ball scene either.

I think this could actually be fun and would love to see it

The majority of dance emotes in this game are awful. So yes for vogue and anything else that doesn't look goofy.

I remember Vogeing became popular in Japan in the mid 2010's although theirs is a bit different from what I saw

Boy, that vid's a blast from the past.

Still one of my favs, honestly. Some dance emotes akin to that would be a pretty welcome change compared to... whatever we've been getting.

I almost wish this game straight up just lifted popular dances because I feel like the ones we currently have are kinda just eh...

Edit: Bee's knees on male characters... looks really bad. I don't know why the movement has to be so stiff compared to the female version :|

Payback for Sundrop not being in your face on females. (Not complaining about it, I know the cultural significance, but I know a lot of female character players would love to have the male version of that dance!)

It's a style of dance which shares its name with the magazine, due to the dancer typically striking a series of exaggerated poses. It originated in the ballroom scene in NYC, which is considered a very influential/historical lgbtq+ subculture. There's a great documentary on the subject called 'Paris is Burning'.
