Since we are talking about feedback for jobs, I would like to put my hat in the ring for some changes for monk. First let me identify the current issues with the job and try to provide some solutions.

First Chakra overflow:
At level 90 in monk's opener and 2m burst chakra overflow causes a big issue where mnk loses damage because they either have to double weave, which is next to impossible to do without good ping or third party tools or you would just suck it up and lose the chakra. This was an issue for mnk as well in shb and was even brought up in the media tour by Drak when he had his interview with Yoshi P. He stated that the team would look into it and here we are a whole patch into Endwalker and chakra overflow still has not been addressed.

My proposed solution to this would be to allow FBC to either stack to 7 or 10 stacks and still have it consume 5, while meditate would only give 5 stacks outside of combat and still give 1 inside of combat. This would give the player a lot more leeway in usage of FBC and removes a lot of frustration.

Second No OGCDS:
Please for the love of god return some of our ogcds damaging abilities back, we now have only 1 ogcd ability now (FBC) and to be honest it was one of the most boring out of the bunch. Returning some of these abilities or even adding some new ones would make the downtime between our burst a lot more interesting as we wouldn't only be spamming gcds with the occasional FBC. I would rather see riddle of wind be removed as it is one of the most boring and bland buffs in the game for some of our ogcds coming back.

Third BLITZ:
If blitzs are going to become a core job mechanic now please make them more interesting instead of locking them behind perfect balance. I would love to see some blitz leaned into more as something that we are doing a lot instead of just in our 60s and 2m burst. As of right now blitz's are essentially watered down combination of mudras and meikyo shisui. Imagine if instead of having Anatman, a button that doesn't even have a purpose, the mnk could gain stacks of enlightenment where after each combo they complete, they could unlock a blitz up to a maximum of 3 where they could unleash a series of blitz's or even just 1 or 2. This would keep the idea of being able to pool a blitz for raid buffs but still gives them use outside of burst.

Fourth Positionals:
This is honestly the big one for myself and a lot of others, but honestly positionals were a big part of what makes mnk, mnk. Personally, it was what drew me to the job when I got a grasp the game, it was something that I could always improve on across all the fights of a raid tier, dungeon, 24 man, etc. They honestly gave life to the job that is mindless gcd spam until burst comes up. Please return them even if it is just on the opo-opo gcds.
Now I know that the devs found it pretty difficult to handle positionals during perfect balance and the compromise to this, is to have perfect balance remove the positional requirement on all your gcds, during its duration. This would make thematic sense as your character is achieving perfect balance, you are attended with yourself and the weak points of your enemy. Returning the positionals would also require riddle of earth to be reverted to its pre-endwalker state but, I would like them to keep the current effect of riddle of earth and add the shadowbringers effect on top the current one.

Before going into Endwalker each melee would have had their niche within the role, Sam with its selfish dps style, mnk with its fast positional focus style, drg with its jumps and party buffs, ninja with 1 minute party buff cycle and mudra's, and then rpr the new kid on the block that has a party buff but is still on the selfish side. Now mnk and nin have had that niche removed and the jobs feel quite hollow, along with the removal of kaiten on sam.

I agree with all points, and I would like to see some MNK discussion be brought up again since it usually dies down for a few months when it gets exhausted.

Probably the number one thing I've so desperately requested out of Monk for years is a whole rework to Chakra. The fact that it still somehow remains untouched even after Yoshi P was told straight to his face that overflow feels terrible, yet nothing was done is not surprising given the latest developments with SAM/NIN. Furthermore I hate Brotherhood's current implementation, the delay on the Chakra gain just feels terrible to play with, especially on a job that is permanently locked to ~1.9s GCD so double weaving is very limited. I've seen a lot of suggestions for a quick term Chakra fix, make overflow give extra charges like BRD's Bloodletter, or make TFC's potency scale with Chakra stacks like Pitch Perfect, but ideally I would indeed like a bigger cap to the gauge itself.

The loss of oGCDs was a pretty huge hit to the job's CPM. It went from being (in certain fights) the highest CPM job in Shadowbringers to middle of the road, barely outdoing AST. What happened to being the fast job? I agree with removing Riddle of Wind, there is frankly nothing they could do to make it worth the 90s cooldown and I'm almost convinced it was introduced in the first place just to pad the job's damage.

As for Blitz, anyone who's seen me talk in MNK threads already know my gripes with it. Being locked to bursts barely makes it worthy of being a job unique mechanic, especially when its parallels Iaijutsu and Ninjutsu have far more frequent uses in their jobs' respective rotations. Also having no further interactivity with anything else in MNK's kit beyond Formless Fist is also baffling. Despite being called Beast Chakra, they have literally no relation to our actual Chakras. I would love it if Blitz was something you could build up without Perfect Balance whereas PB itself would just give us access to stronger Blitz. Give it some interaction with Chakra, too. But as it stands now, Blitz is barely prominent enough in the rotation and desperately needs some expanding.

I could make peace with the loss of frequent positionals if they had actually given us something to take its place. As we know though, that didn't happen. Its heavy positional gameplay was purely unique to Monk and it was basically the dingy old duct tape barely keeping the job's identity together. Nowadays? What is unique to Monk? Its form combos? Does anyone really consider the baseline minimum structure of the job a selling point? It desperately needs something to distinguish itself from NIN as both jobs share very similar problems.

I should really try to give other classes a 2nd chance, even if its to learn what they are about instead of sticking to my one class I love. MNK gear wise would be right up my alley since I could transfer it from SAM. What I remembered hearing about MNK was that it a had a lot more depth and complexity, plenty more positional bonuses.

But after changes came to MNK that made it a lot more simplistic, it's play rate drastically decreased since then even though MNK isn't performing that bad. This is part of what I dislike so much about the argument of " Hey why complain? your class is still performing well ". It doesn't' really matter how well a class perform if its that much more unfun to play.

I'm in a love/hate relationship with Monk. It was the DPS job I stuck to in endgame for ARR, and I still feel like not much has changed with it. If anything it's gotten simpler with a glued on gauge to top it off.

I was never a fan of how chakra was implemented, much like shoha, but it at least worked somewhat alright in Heavensward. Now it really just feels awful to use in most cases, almost like it's hindering the actual rotation. I have really good ping and I still find it an issue.

I feel like Riddle of Wind is some weird callback to Thousand Fists from 1.0, it's just a skill I'm pressing and nothing more. I also disliked the OGCD removal, though I am indifferent for Steel Peak. I'd love to see Meteodrive as an OGCD.

I think the Chakra system needs to be reworked to be more involved with your actual rotation and repurpose anatman like you suggested.

I agree with the positionals. I still do it out of habit just so I don't fall asleep mid fight. I'd like to add that the job could really use some love with an updated trait animation or something, much like Dragoon received. This may be less of an issue for newer players, but I've seen the exact same rotation with no flair for years now.

I've wanted to be able to bank Chakra for a while, RNG generation and Chakra only being useable when fully capped are two concepts that inherently don't work with each other.

I'm actually more or less fine with Blitzes as they're currently implemented, doing them too often would make Phantom Rush lose it's impact, though I think Elixir Field definitely should also have some sort of upgraded animation since it still feels like an oGCD to me.

Speaking of things that need upgraded animations, Rockbreaker is really showing its age especially after it was changed from a cone into an awkward Circle. It's due for an upgrade.

The trivialization of Phantom Rush can be easily avoided by simply making it so only Perfect Balance exclusive Blitz can contribute to Nadi. In this case you would still have the Nadi optimization of current 6.X MNK, but Blitz would also at least have some presence outside of Riddle of Fire.

Oh yeah, I forgot MNK has been asking for Chakra overflow since Stormblood.

lol if anyone thinks they'll ever care about monk. We've had what, 7 years of complaining about monk and giving suggestions on how to improve monk? But it only gets worse every expansion. They'll find some more stuff to remove in 7.0 (I hope you are ready to kiss the last 2 positionals left goodbye), upgrade something to have a new animation (placing bets on bootshine) and call it a new skill so they don't actually have to add anything and call it a day.

Chakra overflow: imo they should just lower the cost to 3 and leave the gauge at 5 - if feels incredibly slow to charge, so getting to use it more often would be very welcome imo.

No OGCDS: This is why I stopped playing monk - even with the fast base GCD, it feels slow and monotonous without OGCDs.

BLITZ: Related to why I stopped playing monk - they basically just took away our OGCDs, made them harder to use, put them on the global, and made it so we couldn't use them nearly as often.

Positionals: This is why I started playing monk - I wanted to challenge myself with a job that was relatively demanding - ironic that the thing that first drew me to the job is being incrementally removed - good thing I already quit the job for other reasons I guess.

Monk was my main in heavensward. I liked it when he had greased lightning and you became faster and faster as you fight. Also there was winds, that surrounds your body, when you fight. It was amazing.
