New payment + additional chars?

I've been looking around for the answer to this, but each post I read confuses me more.

Here's my question: I am on legacy, if I create say, 8 more chars on my world, will I still be charged extra per character? Or are all chars included in the one legacy price now and it won't make a difference how many char slots I add.

If you could be as clear as possible I'd appreciate it;;

1 price, all characters included

well he isnt on legacy yet, so duh, of course it doesnt go into effect yet

I'm a Legacy as well sooo.... You get 8 characters for the price of one?

You only get the extra characters after 2.0, if you create them now you will be charged the extra character fees until 2.0

No solid info on the retainers pricing yet though...

Vedis is either confused or knows something we don't. According to the plan, it is only @ 2.0 that you get the extra characters for free. It's a tad misleading that the badge shows up in your log in screen though. Would be nice to have Rukkiri claw a response to this confusion in the ripe, tasty flesh of this here question thread.

Nope, you still get charged for having additional characters. I should know because I have another one aside from my main. The 8 character slots for one price won't take effect till 2.0 is released.

the 1.0 plan is here to stay..............until 2.0 than the 2.0 payment plan takes effect. The legacy campaign says that when 2.0 comes out legacy members get the free characters, so if u make a extra character now you are getting charged for it since we are not in 2.0 yet. As for the emblem in the character screen messing ppl up in the notes it states it is just the third way to confirm you are a legacy member, it does not mean you can create a new character. A easy way to find out is if you try to create a new character right now you can't because you have to go online and pay for one, all the other character slots are grayed out. in 2.0 when we get free character slots they should all be freed up and not grayed out like in other MMO's and you can make as many as you want.

NO ONE IS A LEGACY YET

the legacy program doesnt go into effect until 2.0, hence why i said yes, you will get it once you are a legacy

people "qualify" or it now yes, but they arent legacy "yet"

the legacy tag that is in ur character selection is just there to make u notice you are eligible to the Legacy only when 2.0 starts.

So when 2.0 have succesfully launch, you will be a Legacy member, which entitled to the forever discount of 9.99/month, and creating up to 40 characters, max per world is 8 characters and a special looking chocobo mount

so if you are asking "I saw the legacy tag on my character screen, can i now create 8 free character in 1.xx" the answer is "No"

Once you hit legancy now you may have noticed if you had any unactivated characters they are now activated.

Aren't they activated because of the welcome back campaign?

edit: Yes, they were. My beta character slot is deactivated again, since the campaign is over. So yes, you will be still charged for additional characters until 2.0 launches.

PRobab ly, not that I use the old one any more. I still see acccess to it but ODdly I can't seem to remove it I don't want to delete it just not have it in my list. I pay 3 months ahead adn still only charged the discounted price as if it was 1.

During the "welcome back" campaign every deactivated char slot was activated (for free) for the event.
Now they are deactivated again
