Massive rmt bot problem in materia

Every single ward 2 zone in the goblet has been claimed by massive bot groups all the same one just each ward having a different name > Mus for ravana etc each ward all the same fc tag. minimum members. minimum levels. randomized names. put base houses up nothing else. most likely the same bot groups we saw over and over since materia started teleporting under the cities grinding gil to buy all these places now. obviously only to sell for rmt in the future there is nothing else to gain from it for them. the funny thing is.. they managed to get the same plots on every server. they all managed to get every large. most mediums. many smalls. all the same plots. my partner and i put in for 3 larges 2 personal 1 fc and we only won one. most people we know lost to 0. these bots all somehow got the same plots on every server though? till now i was frustrated yes but eventually it would be fixed i thought. but these bots have been en mass in eureka under the cities since the start of materia. reported by many. now they have entire wards we couldnt even win. how does this group have better chances than all of materia combined? 100% chance.. when we had 50% at best it seems, SE we worked together to report these bots many times. its on you now fix your damn game. materia gm's ignored every report we ever did and now they are set up for future rmt. we took videos we screen captured. I'm so very curious how they had 100% chance at every plot they got. and we normal players got screwed over

Nah, they are not related to the bots. It's done to boast and maybe mine salt.

This is a housing primal doing it to own ward 2 on all servers. Once the zero problem is ironed out they will fill out all 30 houses over 5 servers. So thats 150 houses over 19 paid accounts, costing a minimum of US$190 a month (assuming the legacy pricing)

Agree or disagree with them... It's an impressive feat, and I am curious how long it will be until SE stomp on it.

Edit: got my maths wrong, it's 30/8 not 150/8 so... 4 accounts, or US$40 a month minimum depending on the subscription type.

Well, they've had zero comments on Materia since the datacentre launched, and all feedback feels like shouting down an empty corridor. They've also ignored the people on other datacentres who own entire wards (was it Malboro that one guy owns an entire neighbourhood?) despite the extremely high demand for housing.

So, I think they will stomp on it....never. /shrug

Possible they wont. It will be interesting to see if they do.

In the meantime, we still have enough houses for FCs and I have little doubt SE will allow solos into those lower wards in a few lotteries. So, outside of salt, he's not really affecting anyone at this time.

In a few years, if they are still up, it's a big neener neener. But for now, meh. Report to STF and see what they do, test SE and see if they are serious.

If there's no botting or other hacks involved, I doubt STF will touch it.

We already know GMs won't touch housing related reports because they're "outside the scope of GM authority".

The owner hasn't actually done anything against the game rules. The restriction is "has a character that owns as buyer" and once you dump the character that made the purchase out of the FC, they no longer "own as buyer".

All we can hope is that rubbing it into SE's face that hard while there are players still unable to obtain a single house might get them to wake up.

We previously discussed and I know you agreed that they left housing closed on Materia too long. We saw these FCs being levelled (not that getting to 6 is hard), it's just proof of our original idea from months ago that SE were leaving this too long was true.

Honestly, as a Materia player, on one of the servers with it, it doesn't bother me that much. In a small way (I'll likely get flamed for this hot take) I admire their flex, if they pull off the whole ward, five times over, they've knocked Alice's single ward on Spriggan off her perch and out of the ballpark.

The GMs are powerless here, we know this. The STF are ... too busy. And come those new NA servers later in the year... with 90 days before housing unlocks... guess what!? (well, you can imagine ;) ) heh.

But yes, rubbing it in their faces is the thing, and especially when Yoshida Naoki is actually looking at logs himself.

But I have little doubt it will probably stay, and in a few years when Materia is booming, it will likely cause salt and drama with homeless people.

I got my FC house BTW - although zero bugged - so I am happy. Thanks for your good wishes a while back, they helped me win :) !

How is this problem. There are so many empty plots across Materia. Really I think they have just wasted their gil / money.

I agree to for the most part. For now it isn't a problem when several private wards on servers that aren't Ravana have no applicants on any of the plots, but it is something that I think we should be keeping an eye on. Materia is growing. Slowly but sure, our little sprout DC is growing.

This is not a bot issue. Can't bot the lottery. It's simply someone who has multiple accounts taking advantage of a new DC's housing. This same individual has similar operations on other DCs, they are expanding to OCE, now. And, since SE doesn't investigate these things when they are reported, I'm afraid there isn't much to be done. They saw the opportunity and took advantage of it.

Maybe Malboro has this issue, but I remember a girl and her friend who owned a ward and a half in Spriggan. She was particularly infamous because she was incredibly corrosive and combative with people who, well, disagreed heavily with her right to do that, so I'm thinking that's what you might be remembering.

it doesnt seem possible its just someone wanting a whole ward. the fact they got every large most mediums the same plots on every ward feels like they did some kind of script to avoid losing the houses. they are all low level random name people base houses put up it cant just be someone wanting a ward to be special. some of these were the bots we kept seeing constantly teleporting under the major cities to do.. w/e it is they did down there. it cant be anything other than rmt if it was real people wanting there own ward for flex or w/e sure but.. these are just the same bots we saw each day since launch of materia. it doesnt make sense they all managed 100% to get each single plot they went after same plots per ward per server exact lineup. they should have failed at a couple of larges or mediums or smalls here or there. but they got them all
