The game still has a long way to go, but it's definitely headed in the right direction. I'm having a lot of fun-- I paid for 3 months and eagerly anticipate the future of FFXIV.

Finally... The Rock...
You forgot a bunch of exclamation points, but good one.
I just thought you guys would be glad to hear that the welcome back program is actually making a difference *shrugs*
The Legacy Campaign is what made me come back. Deleted my old 31GLAD, started fresh to experience all the changes! Got my GLAD back up to 31, unlocked PLD, joined the Immortal Flames, got my chocobo today! Game has come a long way! I'm having a lot of fun now than I did 1yr ago. Looking forward to the coming months and 2.0!!
THe program is good for those that want to experience the main quest lines and certain content before it's gone and the new era line begins. There are alot more changes coming so enjoy.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't join the best CG.
You chose a sweaty old man over the hottest character in the game?
She's angry now!
It brought me back as well. I had been keeping an eye on the development progress and liked what I saw, but never planned on playing until 2.0. Actually trying out all the new changes made a world of difference.
Tree Hugger ftw, we actually care about what's happening to Eorzea you know! The rest just care about their gils.
Welcome back though, I'm glad people are re-discovering FFXIV.
I'm willing to bet our gil is worth more than your caring in a war. Since you don't place much value on it anyway the Maelstrom will be sure to put what you have lying around to good use after the Imperials crush your silly little hippy festival. <3
On-topic: I'm glad to hear that some people are coming back, at least. It seems like the only reactions I've heard so far have been "I'm only on because it's free" or "I'm just killing time until D3 is back up". Game really has come a long way, even if it's still not where it should be yet. Getting close to 2.0 though.
Immortal Flames = shopkeepers
I also came back for the welcome back campaign. Enjoying all the changes so far, got chocobo, doing Grand company and main story quests, but I don't have a Linkshell yet.
