The lotto housing system is an utter bust.
Bugs happen. All these forum posts aren't going to fix it. They just need time to investigate the issue.
Isn't the system itself fine, its just that the bug and the ratio of FC to individual was off?

Me logging into the forums to complain about the failures of the dev team.
Meh, even if the error with the 0 participants didn't happen people would still complain and rage that they didn't win the plot and call everything a mistake.
Ofc, they did something wrong when coding it.
And in all fairness I would say to just reset all the wards and redo it all.
Seeing how that 0 was a thing it means the results were all faulty.
But I doubt that's going to happen.
Just imagine the shitstorm that would follow.
No, I just think that the houses that didn't get sold because of that will just enter the next lotty phase with the rest that was left unsold.
This. Software bugs don't fix themselves. They said in their post there were a lot of patterns with the system. That makes me think it's not just a simple lotto but something a bit more complex. I do consider about their QA catching this so there may be some deficiencies there. It could also be caused by a corner case or something that didn't make itself known until the code was interacting with production code. Definitely some things they probably need to look into internally to see how to prevent it in the future, but I don't for a second believe they released this intentionally or that they didn't try to test things. You can't catch everything all the time.
Lotery rolling 0 is a bug that can't be allowed in any way, it's not fair for the people who bid, if they roll back its not fair to the people who actualy won.
If they run again the people who were lucky to bid in a plot that no one else did, now probably will have more people biding, so the plot they are suposed to have, if the system was NOT BUGGED, dont have the 100% chance of being them anymore.
Indeed, there's no right way to fix it.
Easiest would be to just keep it as it is, those with a house keep it and the houses that didn't get sold will just enter the next ticket-phase as normal.
But to be fair to all a reset would be the only way.
As a lot with houses might've not been a winner if the RNG coding was working correctly.
So in the spirit of a fair game a total reset so everyone can try again is the only way.
But I doubt that's going to happen, considering the shitstorm that would follow.
So I think it's just going to be how I see the easiest way to be.
