"Just do ultimates"

Yea man savage is hard for the first 3 days and in PF the only thing making it hard is the people. But I want to feel good when I play jobs. I liked balancing geriskogul in HW with the time left on my blood. I liked remembering that it might not be a good time to press B4B because of a big AOE coming soon. I liked gathering stacks on WAR to expend them on a fell cleave and praying that it crits. I liked having to keep up 2 dots on healer and using cleric stance. I liked having to time my combo on DRK so that the boss got reduced int before a buster or AOE. I liked that there had to be group synergy in order to use tank stances effectively. I liked having to call out for a goad or a mch overcharge to get TP/MP back if the party was getting low. They literally gutted the gameplay because they thought it was the class balance that was killing the raiding scene and not the raids themselves. They didn't even TOUCH LL till creator tier, not even a small nerf. And the game has only gone downhill from there. Every single class is getting more and more easy to play and for what? The casuals to do treasure maps and Bozja? Where you can literally go in and button mash and clear content? I liked that I actually had to use my brain. 90% of the content now I dont even have to use 1% of brainpower anymore. And that makes me sad. The devs say they are in touch with the community when in reality, HW jobs just needed small tweaks in order to be better. Not full on reworks and removing core systems of the game (Mana homogenized, TP gone, Reprisal on everyone, Paladin block magic, feint on everyone, healers are one button spam with not enough damage going out to reward 3 hotbars full of ogcd heals). There is no more synergy needed to clear content, and most casual players don't even clear the content so they have 0 idea anything about their class or the buttons that they press. Meanwhile devs saying "Just do ultimate" for anyone looking for a challenge..... TEA was cleared in 4 days and now all ultimates can be done in PF with 0 callouts 0 communication. Tell me again about hard content. "Just play another game dude this one is obviously not for you." Yea thanks, I don't want to play another game. I want this game to be better. I want this game to stop catering to people who log in to AFK in limsa. Minor tweaks in HW and every casual on the face of the earth can clear all the casual content they want without sacrificing job identity or the amount of fun they have. "But look so many people play SMN now that it isn't a niche class!" Yea? What about ninja? Ninja been getting easier to play too every single expansion but no one is playing it. Kaiten getting removed is just another step to DPS becoming healers, homogenized classes with no job identity that put you to sleep when you play them. I have cleared all the content in the game on multiple jobs. Trust me, there are better ways of removing buttons so they fit on a controller than this.

I recommend you separate your paragraphs and also there's a thread about this already. Also people are gonna try roast you for being understandably upset, don't take them too seriously.

If he's going to imply that people playing the game casually, or who are playing it in a more relaxed manner are Limsa dwellers then he's just asking for it.

FFXIV do have harder content like Savage Raids and Ultimates, yes.
But once you learn the patterns of those they become easy(er) as everything is scripted with no surprised to them.

So perhaps look for some other game where fights aren't played out like a clockwork.
Sure, all fights in games are scripted to play out in a way or another.
But other games fights might not have "X attack will happen at 2:35 sharp".
Where the attacks can be more random so one has to rely more on reaction time than on a clock.

I fail to see how a “git gud” meme is an applicable response to someone saying they don’t want to see more simplification in the game.

Not really. Seems like he’s talking more about job complexity and how it has diminished over the years over content complexity.

Some job changes I can agree with: I don’t miss things like piercing resistance down, and how reliable the physical ranged were on it. But there have been others simplifications—like the healers—that I disagree a lot with.

There’s a significant decrease in the complexity of jobs and how they’re played. It’s been happening since SB. That’s what they’re talking about.
