Carpenter Guides By Fellow Players

I've seen alot of really good crafting guides from players in the game. I thought players could list their guides here for fellow crafters.

The Following is the guide I used to take Carpenter to 30. It includes receipes to 40 for maximum sp if you so choose. Listed in () are the actual rank required to do the synth. You may go over the rank or you can try the receipe 10 rank's before the rank of the receipe. If you are using carpenter main hand make sure to put on vitality jewelry and load in vitality traits.

Carpenter (2) - Luan Lumber - luan lumber X1, wind shard X3

Carpenter (3) - Willow Lumber - willow lumber X1, wind shard X3

Carpenter (5) - Luan Halfmask - luan lumber X1, ice shard X1, wind shard X1

Carpenter (20) - Willow Halfmask - willow lumber X1, wind shard X2, earth shard X2

Carpenter (28) - Pine Skillet Handle - pine lumber X1, wind shard X9

Carpenter (29) - Chestunt Sword Grip - chestnut lumber X1, wind shard X9

Carpenter (30) - Oak halfmask - oak lumber X1, wind shard X3, earth shard X3

Carpenter (32) - Walnut Hatchet Haft - walnut lumber X1, crab oil X1, wind shard X9

Carpenter (40) - Yew Half Mask - yew lumber X1, wind shard X3, earth shard X3

I started making willow half mask at 12 until 23. I did pine skillet handles at 23 for 800sp each. I took pine skillet handles to 30 getting 300 + sp each at 29. It seems everyone likes to do oak half masks. Those gave me less SP and oak is 4 to 8 times more expensive on my server. I tried the chestnut sword grips also good sp.

great post. thanks. i did maple planks up to eleven. started to get kinda slow there at the end. but it worked out pretty well concidering i could get all my money back from the mats.

The job really starts to slow down between 35-40, but should pick back up when you can do Walnut Masks. I'm 37 at the moment and it's painfully slow.

I started making Blue Coral arrows at 37. Silver javelins are also good. AT 39 I still get 490ish sp from blue coral arrows. Was making Yew Maskes before, but they are not that good anymore.

I strongly recommend leveling Botany alongside Carpentry; I'm currently at Rank 25 Botany (and 38 Carpentry) and I already have a ton of Walnut Logs just waiting for me to get to R42+. Once you get into Botany, it seems to rank up pretty fast and can be rather enjoyable.

I'm 46 Carp and still grinding on Walnut Maskes. Don't think there is anything better. Not looking forward to grinding the mask all the way to 50!

I think walnut masks are the only real grind-able items pats r45. You can farm a crap Lot of nq mats and spam crab bows to break up the monotony if you really wanted to lol. R45 ~ R50 are the trials of perseverance for every DoH. Don't let the wall beat you ^^

Okay! One million maskes coming up!

It would be cool if they added a red/black/yellow walnut masks in the future. Maybe a r55 synth when the cap gets raised. But the I would also hate it ><; if I had to make more walnut masks lol.

Since I didn't see anyone mention it, silver javelins are a good synth when you're transitioning between yew and walnut masks. If you know a BSM or doing BSM around 42+ you could probably crack out silver javelins easier than walnut masks in the low 40s. You can farm ants in the mines for drake scales for glue and cedar logs are cheap as dirt.

So... from 32 to 40 should i just focus on
Walnut Hatchet Haft ?

I know this is an old thread, but do anyone have an update list after 1.19 ?

I am level 21 and the dated willow half mask are not that good :/ Only 230 exp.

I tried some willow lumber, gave me about 405 exp, but not sure if it's the best options (need a lot of logs!)

I'm in the same boat. Please post if you have any info.

Pine Logs into Pine lumbers are working well. About 450 exp each, and after you have lumbers to make the skillet handles.

But they require 9 wind shars for each!



Still trying to find a cheaper option.

I just did 27-28 on oak lumber. About 550-575 per synth and barely botch any. Plus the oak logs are fairly cheap (~1k a piece on my server). I figure they will be good til about 30 or so.

very intersted in a fresh list, I've been playing around a little (am currently level 16) but it has been a bit of a mess.

Going off the assumption that mooglebox's recipe levels are correct...

Various easy synths around that level:
Yew Lumber (21)
Walnut Lumber (25)
Dated Oak Halfmask (27)
Oak Lumber (32)

Mooglebox. Carpenter synths. Scroll to desired level range. Look for stuff with few materials. Bam.

Yew Lumber is flagged as a dated recipe even though it shouldn't be, so that one may or may not be correct. Dated Oak Halfmask is listed on YG as Lv30, so that one may not be correct either. /shrug

Making a guide for a game that's going through major overhauls is pointless in my opinion.

I found it that in the 30's and 40's the fastest way to earn EXP is by doing leves but I guess you guys already know that :-)

When I wasn't doing leves I did...

Mahogany lumber from lvl 35 / 36. Made it from 35 - 40 only by making that. Gave me around 500 exp to begin with and 350 at lvl 39.

At 40 I'm making Mahogany spinning wheels. Gives around 450 exp at lvl 40.

Lv.33 Oak Lumber -- Oak Log (1) + Wind Shard (3) *
Lv.41 Mahogany Lumber -- Mahogany Log (1) + Wind Shard (4)
Lv.46 Rosewood Lumber -- Rosewood Log (1) + Wind Shard (4)
* Need level 1 facility.

I've been trying to compile a list of synths used for leveling up Carpenter. I don't have a guide from the beginning because it slipped my mind but here are some of the things I did write down. Hope it helps some of you.

Elm Lumber (??) = R10-R15.. Didn't record these but I used lumber for R21-22. The few I had from this grind >.>

Walnut Lumber (23) = [613xp @ 16][578xp @ 17][520xp @ 18][468xp @ 19][425xp @ 20][375xp @ 21][217xp @ 25][203xp @ 26]

Dated Oak Half Mask (28) = [530xp @ 25][364xp @ 28]

Elm Sword Grip (31) = [750xp @ 21][715xp @ 22]

Oak Lumber (33) = [765xp @ 23][735xp @ 24][660xp @ 25][637xp @ 26][595xp @ 27][530xp @ 28]


Only R28 atm, but I'll detail my list better and organize it once I'm 50. I'm sort of confused as what to make around 33~ though. Maybe Yew Halfmask?

Yes, I would do Dated Yew Halfmasks at 33. Since Yew Lumber is a dated recipe, you'll still get 4 lumber per log, so that should help things along.

Oh, and if the guy in the post two above this one isn't 50 yet: Dated Walnut Mask.

Should we be doing crafting leves? Or save them for leveling our batle levels?

Whichever you prefer. Most people end up with so many leve credits that it's nearly impossible to exhaust them all, so they end up not having to make that decision.

I recommend saving leves for level 40+ crafting. Only because it's such a grind and leves make it so easy to level up from 40-50.
