Request: Select ALL when selling to a Vendor NPC

Dont know if it's been brought up before, likely has, but still.. I know things like Buy Back options have been stated, but what about methods to allievate the selling process a bit?

As in, being able to select all of a certain type of reoccuring piece of gear or item that do not stack, so you arent clicking sell, ok, sell, ok, sell, ok..etc.

I can understand there being an issue with trying to select multiple items of different kinds, plus their quanities, to sell in a bundle. Thats not really an issue. But if you're selling..like lets say.. 10 woolen coifs..the option to hightlight one and then select all 10 and sell them at once would be rather nice.

Just sayin'

Well, it is a good idea to be able to sell gear in bulk instead of one at a time, but I suspect that it's not implemented because of some dumb server issue.

Making it so you can select items to sell, and then press the Sell button at the end would be pretty convenient.
Select the item -> Put on Sell -> Quantity to sell -> go back to the menu -> Rinse and repeat until you have selected all the items to sell -> press the Sell button, and there you have it, only one transaction to do all the work!
It could work sameways with giving/taking items from the Retainer.

Thanks Renshi, glad you like :) And yeah, it would make retrieval from Retainer a bit easier as well. I try not to be impatient, I understand there's reasons delays exist and try not to be all about the NOW NOW NOW. The generation we live in is all about the fast, instant response, etc. This is more about making the process more convienent and less of a hassle.

And yeah, I can understand there being a queing issue with it coming right now, so if this isnt something that can actually be approached until the new version is set up, I understand that.

May be it could be where you select a bunch of items (may be by hold down Ctrl or Shift), the system calculates the total gained, and sells it? This same system could be used to sell different types of items as well.

Y'know, like every other list has done since the invention of GUI.

From what I've figured out over time, they don't do this because each item that doesn't stack is checked on their end to make sure it is a valid sale. that is why each sale processes so slowly as well. it's to save the common man from cheaters!

I find it less than amusing, too. -_-

i'd be perfectly content with a decent sort by system like the old yet proven Weapons-Armor-Food-Potions-Misc tags.

i'm just assuming the reason we don't have this system is because, there is no sub category for meta data to fall under.

This isn't even needed. They just need to remove the lag when selling things. In other mmos you can click on everything in quick succession to sell it. In this game you have to wait 5 seconds for the game to process the information.

What about... the Square button on the Playstation controller (X button on Xbox 360 controller) to select the item, and then you just have to select a random selected item to sell them all together? Same can be done with the right-click of the mouse =)

Yeah this has been done alot (at least in offline console rpgs, no idea about other mmos) where basically when buying or selling you just select everything you want to buy/sell in the quantities you want and it keeps a running total so you know how much gil you're spending/making and at the end you finish the transaction and it happens all at once.

Man...I would *kill* for this to work with the item search thing in market wards but good luck with that happening before 2.0 ^^;
