In game crafting exp bug

Do we have an in game bugs forum? I don't know where it is so just have to post this here I guess...

I had some resting bonus that I decided to use on crafting leves but I decided to get an old ARM leve out of the way first even though I'm level 50 ARM. Being a level 50 class, resting bonus should just be held until I'm on a non 50 class, right? Well, I've just received +50% experience on two ARM synths (I did it a second time just to see if it was an unlucky fluke) from my resting bonus.

Please don't send my resting bonus into a black hole, it's supposed to be saved for when it actually does something. I've fought plenty of things at level 50 and not wasted my resting bonus on them so why should crafting be any different?

As for the experience, yes, I'm sure it wasn't either of those things. These are the quoted lines that indicate the used rested experience:
"You earn 1,365 (+50%) experience points."
"You earn 1,113 (+50%) experience points."

It only says the +50% like that with the resting buff (and possibly scrolls, I don't recall, but not using scrolls). Quality bonus is listed on a separate line that I have filtered out at the moment and I don't think leves specify any percentage anywhere (I've never seen it if they do, it could possibly be filtered out, not going to say a flat statement like they definitely don't say it as I don't know for sure).

Yeah, just confirmed, leves and quality bonuses don't say that +50% part in that line (I was 99.999% sure but wanted to make that 100% as soon as resting bonus was used up).
"You earn 1,475 experience points."
That was a synth done just after resting bonus was used up. The resting bonus is the only difference; still not using scrolls or food or anything, just basic synthing and quality.

Just found the quality bonus line:
"An increase in quality gains you 144% more experience!"
In relation to this experience line:
"You earn 1,343 experience points."
Leves don't seem to mention a boost anywhere in their results.
Just further confirmation that the 50% boosts mentioned above are clearly from a misfiring resting bonus.

This always happens when you get exp as a level 50. You're not actually getting any exp though so it has no effect on your rested bonus. If you want to test it, switch to a job that is below lv50 and note how full your exp bar is. Then switch to a level 50 class, and get some exp. Switch back to your non 50 class, and the rested exp bar should be in the same place.

Just like Zetsumei_Tsunarashi said this happens to any lv50 class/jobs and it wont take away resting bonus points so you're safe.

Thanks for your response Qeepel. I do think that this is a bug in the log that should be fixed. Here is a revised bug report using the template you linked to.:

Too late to change the thread title now so I'll just describe it here. When on a level 50 class, the log continues to state we're earning exp. This expands to imply that we're using our resting bonus buff when we really aren't. The log should not be saying that we're earning exp when we are not, and it should not be referencing the 50% bonus to exp from resting bonus when we are under that either.

Steps:
Go onto a level 50 class. Earn experience. Earn experience on a level 50 class while under the resting bonus buff to see that reflected in the supposedly earned experience with "You have earned [quantity] (+50%) experience points."

I'm pretty sure you are earning the bonus exp, you're just not using up the rested bonus. If that's the case, then the log is correct.

If that is the case, then we are earning experience at level 50 in general. That has its own host of problems unless they're going to give us back that experience when the level cap raises..? Even if they are planning on doing that though, it just causes confusion to mention it now while countering that information with the stuck experience bar. It shouldn't be mentioned at all with the current system.

Best thing to avoid confusion for those Lv50 players is to hide the EXP info after craft/battle since that exp is going no where anyways.
