Also, I highly doubt people used a paid service such as world transfer just to harass you. Call me skeptical but I don’t think you’re that important

Not to be that kinda person, but if you got yelled at in P2S, it probably wasn't for "no reason". Not saying that people don't get quick to be angry at times, but it's never for no reason.

Also, this whole post screams that you are the "Toxic, Salty and Immature minority". Very Better Than Thou. If you get that invested, maybe a break is a good choice for you. /shrug

I'm probably a keyboard warrior. I don't have self esteem issues. Most of the time I'm just bored and need a dopamine hit so I argue about something with someone, even if I don't agree with the thing I'm arguing for.

You know, sometimes the people who argue and debate in a video game do so because life is going too well and everything's too peaceful and they need some spice because they're really bored.

I don't typically get mad at people (although I get tilted by bosses wiping me). So I can't comment on the other type of keyboard warrior - the type that actually gets into conflict with others on an emotional level. But there are a lot of keyboard warriors who are just arguing for fun and are only amused and not upset. Life is just kinda boring sometimes.

Whenever I see someone being toxic to another player, I always feel compelled to check them and put them in their place. These people have an illusory sense of superiority and it's good for them to be given a reality check when it's called for.

To be fair going to GM jail doesn't always mean toxicity. I've been to GM jail a few times on my accounts now. And all of them were because of sexual/suggestive shit I said or names I've used lol. I think most infractions are probably profanity more than anything else. I've gotten into trouble once because my retainer names were all gay porn studios...

lol lewd. But doesnt shock me. I had a character name for 8 years I got away with because it looked like an actual name until read backwards. Few got it, but luckily never reported for it. Changed it when I world transferred.

OP got salty too much and got a suspension. Currently trying to inflate their ego by saying they are going to go outside and how the game doesn't really matter. Here's the question though, if said game doesn't matter they why get salty?

I dunno, people do give in to the bait, and get themselves in trouble. I don't think it's a very common thing though, personally I can think of one time it could have happened, but I used the Blacklist option instead.

I was doing a low level roll, my friend accidentally pulled final boss while someone was watching the cutscene. And it was accidental, they felt so bad about it. After the boss, tank had a go at me for skipping, then I corrected him, left. Got angry whispers from the healer who was the one watching the cutscene, explained politely (and it was, and I was actually surprised how I handled it) that it wasn't me and blacklisted them.

If you give in, or find yourself on the receiving end a lot, you should probably ask yourself some questions as to your personal playstyle.

I got harassed in a dungeon for having to get up and bio suddenly as a tank, and ridiculed for my condition only to be gaoled later for telling them off, the first and only ban i've had.

The game placates agressors and gms tell you your life will be fine while knowing players are making entire spreadsheets of people's Lodestone ID's they don't like and continue to harass/cancel you on third party sites to foil your gameplay. FF hands them all the tools with lodestone ID and keeping character names even with blacklists.

Name changes fantasias and new character boosts making them big bank before people learn it will not save them

I have no idea how you people get so hurt over each other, I don't even be reading the chat. and if I do happen to miraculously read it for once and it's someone on that sillyness, I simply screenshot it, tab out, post it in my discord of superfiends and turn on the 'get a load of this guy' cam. It's a "kekeke" that's it. Have not step foot in a Gaol-not a single TOE in that Gaol in the almost 2 years I've been here. Because you gotta work hard to ruin my day. You gotta put in that overtime. If there's narry a slur in sight, I win yet again. The first one to get mad loses and that will not be me, because frowning causes wrinkles-I didn't get this babyface from picking fights over the internet. Highly suggest you all invest in caring less too.

What a response. You don't believe in stalkers? People get stalked in this game. This post just drips rudeness. There are a ton of awful acting people in ALL mmos. This one too. Yes, the op is so important people are spending 10usd to transfer servers to give them negative attention. Multiple people at that. I never said I don’t believe in stalkers, but I also believe in paranoia and hyperbole. Now ask yourself, how plausible is it really that multiple people are spending real money to give op a hard time. Especially for no reason. Add to that, if what op said was valid, it’s a case for the GMs or even the police, not the forum mob.

This game has some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever encountered. Definitely the best in game community ever. I used to think it was because it was "enforced" and there is definitely some of that. But a lot of people on Famfrit see me just hanging out in Gridania all day, and random people come up and talk to me, ask me how im doing. No one is enforcing them to do that. Ive made so many friends. Patient people, willing to teach me even the most basic of things in game that are easily overlooked. My point is that I think the majority are definitely awesome people in this game.

Then I come to the forums, and youd think I was playing League of Legends.

Thank you for saying what needed to be said. I understand exactly where you are coming from in the heart. Takes a lot of courage to admit these things. Actions in the game or IRL also reflect whats in the heart of someone. Even in real life. Both ways. I am kinda shocked to hear people would go out of their way to harass others so relentlessly. Shows how sick they are in the head. Even sick minded people can change. If they are willing and want to change that is. Sometimes it takes being called out by someone else for things like this to bring a reality check in.
