In a way that lot of people are happy that Zenos is finally gone just for him to show up at the end of Pandemonium.

He will always come back

Zenos is almost a shoen trope, until I see his body reduced to Aether and his soul dragged into the aetherial sea by 10,000 hands of his victims, he is not dead. Even then, not sure if he is really dead.

Or how about Zenos comes back, but as it turns out, he didn't succeed in burning away his life properly and dying, instead he only burned away his powers thanks to overexertion. Now he can be done in by any group of nobodies who've never trained or fought in their lives, or any random beastie in the woods. He still wants the WoL to kill him, but the WoL won't have any of that since he can be knocked unconscious by a slight love tap, so he'll never find fulfilment.

Hah hah, comeuppance and all that. He can be a running gag.
