Allow us to do stuff while World Visiting

So it's been over a month since the atrocious EW launch and while the queues have gotten slightly better in some Worlds and Data Centers, it's still terrible in others and by the looks of it SE has moved to working on NFT mining instead of upgrading their servers.

Fine. As always it's up to us players to fix the indie company's shortcomings by voluntarily visiting other Worlds to alleviate the queues.

What is NOT fine however is that we are punished for doing this by not being able to do certain activities like accessing our retainers (with limited options like not being able to post in MB), gather Collectable/Legendary nodes or entering the Firmament, you know, the place where you decided to place the 2 current highest level Custom Delivery's NPCs.

It makes absolute no sense that content and areas of the game are restricted just because you are not on your own World. What's the point of limiting nodes to World visitors when the nodes are not a limited resource? What's the point of limiting access to the Firmament when there is no longer rankings?

If you are not going to upgrade your servers or open up World Transfer, then at least remove the restrictions to World Visiting so that your paying customers can have access to the game they paid for.

Didn't people jump during the Firmament stuff and ruin it for other servers?

Back when there were rankings, yes. But now the Firmament is abandoned old content, so the restriction should be lifted.

He said he was unsubbing a couple weeks ago, then changed his mind almost immediately. These people just seem to live for complaining lol.

It's not the servers that are the issue, it's their technical expertise. FF14 backend servers are clockwork and they seem to have not interest in improving it except adding more of them.

Take inventory for an example, their solution to solve this is to change you a subscription yes... a subscription to give you more inventory.

How does World Visit alleviate the queues at all? If anything you're adding to them by taxing the login server again despite already being logged in.

Seriously, why? Practically every post from him reads like someone just slamming their fists on a keyboard. Valid critique is fine, but a lot of what he's done since registering is just shrieking into the void... If you say you're gonna unsub, bloody unsub. I sure wouldn't keep paying for something I don't like, and at this point I question if he even enjoys complaining. Seems more like going through the motions than anything. Nevermind that he was one of the posters vehemently denying the supply chain issue...

You can World Visit from the login menu using the "Visit Another World" button if you left click on your character. For example right now it allows you to log in on Primal by visiting worlds like Famfrit, Lamia or Ultros while Leviathan and Behemoth have queues of 1k+

A complain is valid in itself regardless of who posts it. In this case both you and me are unable to gather Collectable/Legendary nodes, visit the Firmament or access our retainers while World Visiting. But by all means keep deflecting if it helps you cope :)

In normal times this stops people from going world to world and getting exorbitant numbers of timed nodes. It's a good thing.

Unless it's a bot-control measure then logically there is a design constraint with world visits here. Your retainers could well be like avatars (we do see them in the world after all), tied to the home-world. One guesses SE would need to put in a world visit system for them, and that would make the queue worse for everyone.

Maybe post something besides negative bashing once in a while and people will actually read your posts again instead of seeing your little blue haired face and immediately dismissing all of it as "another rage post". Likely the inability to access non-constantly updated information divisions of our information and unique instances is to limit cross server bandwidth use.

That would be amazing if you could still do normal things regardless of server yes. I've been wanting to go see friends in other servers, but gilgamesh is so packed that if I were to switch, I'd be blocked out all day and I just never feel up to it. I want to still be able to use retainers, so. Will it happen, probably not. But would it make it less of a burden when you get stuck elsewhere, yes absolutely. I see you've accepted your addiction to xiv. Hey, it's THE hit mmo. If you're not in it, then you're trying to get in it. Can be as mad as you want but at the end of the day, you just want to be logged in like the rest of us. Square Enix executives could literally walk into peoples homes, eat all their food, and leave a stack of dirty dishes in the sink spoons angled just right to splurt water in their faces as soon as they turned the sink on and they'd still sit in that log-in queue for 3 hours a day because whether we'd all like to admit it or not, we love this game and nothing else right now is hitting that gamer spot. If it did, well we wouldnt be here now would we. Enjoy your day.

It took 2 pages but thanks for contributing to the topic of the thread!

Regarding people going from world to world to get exorbitant amount of limited nodes, isn't that what GP is there for? You can only regen so much even when using Cordials. Not to mention the world visit queues would make it so that at best you get 2 of the same node, which I really don't see what would be game breaking about it. Finally, gathering as a whole is rendered moot thanks to SE's inability/uninterest to deal with bots. In fact, being able to access the same node more than once via world visiting would at least give legitimate players a fighting chance against bots.

re: The Firmament restrictions, those could and SHOULD be removed since that is no longer the case, just how Shadowbringers extra instances were removed.

Not like you didn't know that before hand. It was your choice to jump servers to do more stuff in game sooner.
