Reaper and MSQ question

Hi,
I currently have a lvl 90 machinist, and have nearly finished endwalker.
I made a reaper but as i have done the MSQ i imagine i cant re-do it?
If i wanted to do MSQ as reaper would i have to make a new character?
And to start at level 70 my only option really would be to pay for a boost to level 80?

Are there any alternative ways?

You can redo the MSQ on the same character via New Game+, but you won't gain exp. So if you want to level Reaper while doing the MSQ, then you'll have to do it on a new character.

And to unlock a Reaper, you'll have to have a job at level 70+ and be able to access the starting quest location for Reaper. You can use boost to level 80 or level another job manually to level 70.

There is currently no other alternative.

I don't think you can do NG+ for Endwalker specifically yet. I checked and don't see the option, unless there's an unlock somewhere I'm unaware of. If that truly is the case, SE will likely allow it in a later patch.

I think we need more info.

Are you talking purely experiencing the story as a reaper, or are are we talking the huge xp gains?

If the former, as said above New Game Plus will come along, in addition to viewing cutscenes in any inn (the journal you can interact with). Not yet, but eventually.

If xp, then as said, sorry, you have to “level normally”. There are many options, but I’d recommend start with beast tribe quests in shadowbringers. Specifically the pixies. And of course roulettes.

And yes sorry i should of explained, i want to do MSQ as reaper for the quick xp gain, and also i wouldnt mind a different char race as ive only ever had the 1, so a alt would be fun.
So from the replies it seems it would be a paid boost on a new char.

The fastest exp for a DPS comes from Bozja - it's faster than the MSQ. You can get from 71-80 in 6-10 hours depending on your use of experience buffs, and then 80-90 in likewise.

Roulettes are only faster after level 87 and only then if you can find a way to have instant queues and chain pull non-stop. In other words, with a premade group or if you're a tank or healer. Tanks and healers STILL level faster in Bozja from 71-86. The story is worth doing to enjoy it, but not for the experience bonus.

Yes, exp from bozja and duty roullete or spamming dungeon with equal lvl is faster than MSQ

I lvl'd my second job while grinding FATEs for the EW Shared FATEs unlocks.
2 birds with 1 stone.
Probably could've lvl'd a third job to a decend length before I'd be done as well.

just so you know, new game + does not give exp rewards, so that will only be an option to see how the reaper plays and fits into the msq. :)

I did look at doing Bozja but the unlock quests are not there for me in the Doman enclave (there is no airship )etc, i must of missed something to unlock them.
Tried google and every guide says something different.

If you do start an alt, you will need to pay for a story skip as well as job boost unless you want to play the entire story again from the start.

If you do play the entire thing again, instead of paying to boost a job, you may just want to level your starter job through to level 70 at which point you can switch to reaper and continue from there.

You need to do the Alliance Raid from Stormblood first.
