Will Viera get more mogstation hairs?

Or is this it? The "popular" ones given were disappointing for sure. Will they get more in the next expansion roughly several years away? Maybe sooner?
Why weren't mog station hairs added first and then the disappointing large forehead hairstyles added later?

No one knows.

If I was in marketing, I would have slated the mogstation hairs as a priority. Out of all of them, it is baffling to me that they chose the Lightning hair over Y'shtolas (which is a very popular set in both variations). As a player, I am comforted that most of the unlocked styles were from the game itself, but it is very weird which ones were picked. I can think of three modern aethetics that would have been easier to port than the Nier bobs or the ponytail.

Or at least the Noctis hairstyle

But hey male Viera got the 2B hairstyle so thats something! Right...? Right?!

What annoys me is the lack of communication on SE’s behalf… Should we expect more? Are the 6 hairstyles we received from Endwalker all we’re getting? If there is more when do they aim on delivering?

So many questions and next to no answers

SE communicates those things in their liveletters, so we'll likely get more news about this by then along with female Hrothgar updates.

I wish they would add 'ear shape' and 'ear length' to the Aesthetician so that we can change our ear type every once in a while without having to buy a Fantasia.

I hope we do!

Why not have them for free? Every cool item/haircut should go to mogstation? :(

Do they really need to communicate that? To me, the fact we've gotten some tells me that they are probably working on the rest, and all I need to at this point is be patient. (I was hoping to have the PVP hairstyle on my Viera alt, since it was in the moogle tome event just before they released, but I'll just have to wait for it.)

I would like them to at least confirm, just for my peace of mind. If they’re not releasing any for a while I’d rather be told ASAP, it saves me from being in a constant state of limbo (again).

A couple weeks prior to Endwalker, I spent my time farming Modern Aesthetics and hyping myself up for the new hairstyles - only to discover during launch that I only like 1/6 of them (bought the Lightning one from mogstation tho, worth it!)

I just don’t want to be told the incredibly vague line ‘look forward to future patches’ and have me wait another 2 years for 6 hairstyles.

The plus side is 6.1 is Hrothgar’s turn so I really hope for major improvements.

I'll believe they are working on the rest when they either release a statement as such, or actually give them to us. I stopped assuming ANYTHING in regards to developer intentions a long time ago.

I'd like some confirmation as well. There are so many unlockable hairstyles and mog station ones that would work fine with Viera. They also said they built male Viera differently without hairstyle limitations that viera females had, yet they didn't get any of the hairstyles either (other than the pony tail Gold saucer one and the nier ones).
Also there are random hats this expansion that work on viera, but older hats with similiar styles don't work. (Ex: Reaper hat, Imperial caps from dungeon display on Viera just fine). There are random hoods/hats/helmets that work for Viera, some clip their ears through (which looks fine) and others the ears disappear. Why cant this just be the case for all the hats? Obviously certain hats like witch hats, etc. wont work with their ears unless they just 'disappear' with them equipped. I have so many questions with the limitations.

I assume that means whatever programming limitations stopped them from giving female Viera the shared unlockable hairstyles in the first place, which has now been solved for both genders – the female model needing updating but the male model having it from the start.

As for the randomness of hats that work, it seems to be based on whether it completely covers the hair, and probably also whether it connects to the base of the ears. They don't seem to be able to wear hats that replace the top half of the hair while leaving the bottom half visible.

Yeah, it's better to just chill out and not bother with thinking about this until there's new stuff talked about.

As it stands, there hasn't been a NEW hairstyle in the game for reg races yet, so we don't know if Viera will get NEW shared haired or if the devs will just wait 2 more years to add 6 more hairstyles that everyone had before. We don't even know how they expect to address Hrothgar's nonsense.

Best to just sit back and wait for a LL or for new shared hair to be added and see where it goes. No point in assuming or obsessing over it.

We probably got a mix because or else they wouldve gotten accused of only adding mogstation hairs so people have to pay for hairs.

The entirety of Shadowbringers has taught me that when it comes to Viera hair, one should take the "what you is what you get" approach, rather than hope and/or speculate that they're working on it.

How about instead of asking "Can we get more hairs to spend money on" we ask "Can we get the unlockable hairs fixed for Viera?"

I suspect we'll get another 6 for 6.1 at least I hope so. I'm enjoying some of the new styles and hope we get Both Ways soon. Been quite a wait but am optimistic we have only seen the beginning.

I think that's what they intended to ask? The existing Mog Station hairstyles are some of the most prominent unlockable ones.

Those aren't ""unlockable" those are purchased. The priority should be making sure the hairs available ingame are compatible with Viera, not premium hairs

A lot of people argue the opposite because the people who already spent the money and already have the hairstyles can't use them if they go Viera.

The reality is we'll probably keep getting a mix because neither side is wrong.

I'm just disappointed they didn't choose the best hairstyle in the game. Gyr Abanian Plait.

I just want to be able to use headgear again, newly released mogstation items don't even work with viera and they've been out for years.
