Looks fine to me

Healer and caster sets tend to skew feminine as it is, but S-E has a ton of cover for designing gear this way since this seems to be what a very vocal group of players want anyway.

I thought this was gonna be another thread complaining about the DNC's head bow and how it has some of the worst placement and clipping issues ive ever seen.

In this instance, it's a specific cosplay outfit based on a female character so I think it would be stranger to remake it into a more different design.

If nothing else, the circlet, gloves and boots all look to be potentiallly useful pieces for either gender. The gloves in particular are a shape I was desperately searching for to use with a glamour for one of my male characters a while ago, but couldn't find anything right at the time.

Well, as a girl, I honestly like the male more. Love me some leggings with a skirt any day.

The male outfit reminds me of something a character like Dr. Strange and his equivalents would wear in the 70-80's of comic books. I think they called it silver age?

That or some singer from same era.

It's because it uses the design of Rydia's attire from FF4, who was a female character. Though, I tend to wonder why they didn't use Rosa for the healers and Rydia for casters, but then again that'd go against their whole trend of Healer/Caster just being a recolor of each other, usually.

All of the 570 Tomestone gear took their looks from FF4 characters.

I wonder the same thing. Rosa has a good outfit even if they went with her more conservative after years look. But someone would have been mad and complained.

male characters need to show more skin in this game, not less.

Its a common Problem in XIV that all gear is designed with Female Characters in mind. Nearly 80% of all gear looks dumb on my Highlander. But when I find a set that fits him it fits him really well.

The artbooks would actually like to disagree with you, so do the items that are in our inventory.

I honestly don't mind things like this. Yes, it looks girly as hell on the guy, but you can just glam over it with something better. Maybe some people will want to go for the more feminine look.

I'm a Lala so I have the hardest time finding glamour that fits me, because most of the time these outfits weren't made to look nice on potatoes. An example is the Hellfire tank armor from Idyllshire, with the open chest. It looks like shit on male characters, but amazing on females. But on Lalas it's just HORRIBLE REGARDLESS. Because Lalas don't have boobs.

So yeah, it's a pain. But if somethint doesn't look nice, just swap it out with something else.

Urianger would disagree. But he is the only one who talks weirdly. Maybe that's how gay people talk in Eorzea? I don't know, someone explain to me why urianger is the only one who loves to show off his shoulders and talk differently. I like the DNC set a lot, but legitimately that bow is one of the most garish things in the game, aside from that hideous jacket from the mogtomes.
