Not an au ra (at least, on this character!) but I know a lot more Xaela than I do Raen.
As far as I've observed the ratio seems pretty balanced in terms of how many of each clan there are, though there's significantly more users of female face 1 over any of the other variants.
cant say i see more xaela or raen characters since i dont pay attention to other people ingame, however i myself have a raen alt with a certain hairstyle that looks like rukia, she is so adorable and is my favorite alt

there are people who dont play them because their scales are dark blue and not black
Hello fellow Xaela.
I mean, I see both of the au ra clans pretty evenly, it's Miqo'te that are pretty uneven. We need more Keepers!
I see loads females its pretty equal but for males there is much more Xaela
Blue scales, blue skin
Pure race, xaela ftw!!
Though Raen with brown skin looks equally beautiful!
Waves- im xaela <3
I did a bit of digging, because I was certain there would be numbers on race/clan distribution - and there are!
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...Luckybancho%29 - its from half a year ago, but someone made the effort to pu some of the Luckybancho Census in some graphics. According to this (https://imgbb.com/6nMFxh8), Xaela should be infact a lot more common than Raen.
I have enough love for every single female Xaela.
Yes :3
But really are there more suncats?
Also I know about 50/50 on the Au Ra come to think of it. My best buddies are Xaela and I have a Raen alt. They are all cute.
you guys talking about the superiority of blue and red xaela when in fact you're after second place behind green xaela :3
seriously tho, too many white skin xaela, wheres the rest of the colours in game
I love my Xaela partner and none other!

They're still one of the most popular I'd imagine.
I think maybe they're less popular because their horns are dark so they stand out more ( most people play light-skinned characters ).
The lighter horns and scales blends in with the skin more if your character is light-skinned.
Personally when I played Au'Ra I played Xaela because I wanted the horns to stand out.
All I want is SE show some love for Keeper, we see few tribes of Seeker through out the game. We see few Keeper NPC but we never see anything like a settlement or Town for Keeper. Please give us at least a small settlement for lore exploration like they did in Azim steppe
Depends on your home server. There's a lot of xaela auri players in Behemoth.
Good to see there are some Xaela around. I am Jenova and only seen a few here and there
Hello fellow Xaela!
Most Au Ra i see and know are xaela lmao
I feel so rare around them
Wow, on Mateus there are Xaela everywhere! My guild became almost all Xaela to the point where it started to annoy me. lol
Lookin at the unofficial race census, Xaela and Raen females are roughly equal, but there is significantly more Xaela males than Raen males. I wonder why?
I think it's even, I see an equal amount of Raen and Xaela.
I would love to be moon... but the skin colors are too pale for me. I prefer more orange colors, tho I know the forums isn't the best judge cause I know I look pale on my profile pic. But there isn't a decent middle ground for moons that I like. It's either super dark or way too light. I just want more of an orange.
I do feel like being able to manually adjust the tone of the scales would be nice because Raen Au Ra have a pretty noticeable variance in color with them being snow white on light skin tones but more of an auburn hue on dark skin tones.
Xaela seem to lack that quality and are locked into the dark blue hue regardless of skin tone.
