Sort Inventory - WHY???

I accidentally clicked the sort item in my bag's drop down, which effectively scrambled the contents. They need an option to turn this function off, or add at least two confirmations after clicking it :)

There is an Undo Sort. I think it's available until you do another action.

I agree 100%. I actually didn't realize the first time I did it that you can undo sort. This is only available immediately after sorting so be careful doing anything right after sorting, but is an option if you weren't aware.

The undo sort option shows up where sort was after sorting.

Damn, I didn't see that. Currently rebuilding it all, At least in having to go over everything, I'm finding a lot of old junk that I'm dumping..

Sounds like the sort function fulfilled part of its purpose lol.

I personally use the 2nd option in the sort method list. Much better to have things separated into categories than together.

I don't know how people can play without using the sort option. Sounds horrendous. It puts everything in a neat order so I can actually find what I want. If I want to put all materia to a retainer - sort - and it's piled up together.

The WoL's backpack is known for being a "rubbish-packed purgatory" by a certain Namazu for a reason. :)

Or you could just, you know, be more aware of where you click in the future.

Yep. I don't know what I'd do without the auto sort option.

I sort my retainers’ inventory constantly… but for my own inventory, I have things laid out in different areas. And that works well for me for whatever reason.

Page 1 is consumables (raid food, craft food, raid pots, echo drops, deep dungeon restoration pots, whatever), page 2 is ingredients for whatever crafting project I’m working on, page 3 is temporary - stuff I’m going to go trade in for company seals or duplicate triple triad cards to sell at the Saucer, etc. - and page 4 has any current relic items (Memories, etc.) I’m actively working on, plus anything for FC projects (like grade 3 company buffs).

Sorting my main inventory would leave me unable to find anything!

Sorting your main inventory would result in almost the same system, only your page 3 and 2 would swap places, with any equipment going to the start of pg 1.
