Suggestion: Warrior of Light - Paladin

I know I've seen this elsewhere but I didn't see it on these forums. Suggestion to make paladin more like warrior of light. The imbue system and everything is so cool and would really help to make paladins casting feel better I think.

A better suggestion is to stop buffing the class that's already got tons of options out of the expansion, and focus on ones that they ruined.

a better suggestion would be for you to stop wishing for people to get a severe illness over a video game, but anyone who tells you that is a bootlicker in your mind, so

Warrior of Light is not a Paladin; or rather he uses abilities from several jobs, and PLD is one of them. The imbue system he uses could actually be for an entirely new job such as Rune/Mystic Knight which are classic FF jobs more known for those kind of abilities.

The imbue system suits mystic knight / spell fencer way more than paladin. I do hope this becomes part of a job, but not paladin.

Ah yes, where Warrior, is better than Paladin in most ways currently, and yet it's sin to ask Paladin buffs.

Just stop playing PLD then, and level your WAR. Hell why aren't you playing DRK or GNB anyway. All you care about is DPS potential. Stop gimping yourself.

Because that's how the game has always been mind you lol... From the very creation of ARR, content, including raids have balanced it's self around job DPS potential.

I don't care anything about DPS, I just thought it was a cool concept is all. *Shrugs*

Saying that all tanks in FFXIV was aways about DPS is just bullshit, if this was true we woundt have this many DRK Topics asking for reworks or adjustments because its the tank where the average player can barely manage to keep alive in high end content without babysitting healer.
Do i really need to mention the Warrior lack of defensives in ARR making its population low AF? Or the way PLD was tossed aside in HW due to not having proper magic mitigation?

Tank DPS is an important trait, but it's a sencondary one, if the job is clunky and boring to play but gives DPS ppl will only pick it for speedkill and toss it aside after that. PLD is the a better spot it has ever been, damage can come with balance patches or stats scaling on higher ilvl gear.

Right now PLD and WAR i dare say are the best classes to play in the game, where the average player can have fun and the top tier player can make a big difference using the whole kit of these jobs properly.

Only situation where the Tank DPS is the problem in raid prog is if the player is literally not even doing combos. 123 isnt rocket science.

What is “the imbue system?”

In Seat of Sacrifice, the boss Imbues his weapon with different elements. Imbue Fire adds Pyretic to his next attack, causing players to take damage when they move or attack. Imbue Ice freezes players that aren't moving or attacking when he attacks. Imbue Earth adds Earthshakers to his next attack. Imbue Holy adds a stack mechanic to his next attack. A way to incorporate that into a player Job might be to make Imbue Fire a DoT, Imbue Ice on a defensive ability to add a Slow, Imbue Holy to turn the next attack into an AoE, stuff like that. I'd rather see it as a brand new Job though, rather than stuff getting tacked onto Paladin. Although the whole Imbue effect is awfully similar to the old Dark Arts and we already saw SE chuck that in the garbage bin so I doubt it'll ever happen.
