Pandaemonium.... way too easy. The good, the bad and the ugly

Ok....

This raid was just too easy.

The good.

First and second fights were okish...

I would include in savage on the blue/red platform, ads and meteors crashing, so you get to have to move and then deal with ads.

As on the hippokampus, something about the platform could be done, with maybe another mechanic and perhaps hitting harder.

The last 2 bosses i didnt care. They kinda sucked.

The bad

-Last 2 bosses sucked., and last one is a "vampire" ? really SE? the only cool part of the last boss is the tank/dps/healer balls. But they go so slow that its for braindeads....

The ugly

Way too easy .... It is inconcievable for me that i pugged first clear, all but the second boss. And we got it in the third try, and im not expert raider or anything.

The super ugly

Is this all we get for a while ?....

You realize that this was the easy version and savage is coming soon, right?

This is the normal for everyone version. The harder one is in a couple of weeks. Its like in WoW when they drop Normal and heroic first to let you get a feel of it and then drop Mythic the following week. We just have to wait for 2 weeks for the Savage version.

You do realize there are going to be probably 8 more fights after this tier right?

I liked the entire thing. They're expected for normal raids. Hopefully savage will be much more difficult.

The themes of the raid are great, and that just comes down to personal tastes. It's not objectively good or bad. Personally I love the last boss, but I'm also a fan of all the references to other media it makes.

This is all there is for like two weeks before savage comes out, and that should be a whole different beast in terms of difficulty. Hopefully.

I found the story bland.

Only liked the last fight cause the guy’s attractive - I mean, he has a lovely design and his music’s good.

The recently released version of Asphodelos is on the journalist difficulty which is meant to be clearable by total strangers / pugs.
On January 4th, the harder Savage version will become available.

My only complaint would be the soundtrack of the 4th boss...

I honestly liked it. It was my first FFXIV raid and I look forward to the rest of it, especially the story (though I'll admit I was a bit disappointed it wasn't voice acted).

From what I understand, speaking to more veteran players, the normal 8 man raids are meant to be farmed with PuGs, not static groups (that's what savage is for) so making them too complexe would defeat that purpose.

Normal supposed to be easy. Last boss is more challenging for the pug i'm in. All of us are flying blind. Wiped a few times.

I really like Neir raids but this is different and the story seems interesting.

Which is hard the first Nier raid or Pandaemonium. I remember the first Nier raid was pretty easy.

3rd boss was a phoenix. Both mythological creatures.

Also, weren't ancients in Elpis the ones who created all creatures?
I'm guessing that would also mean they were the ones who created mythological creatures as well, including vampires.

Idk, just a theory. I don't see anything wrong with it, to be honest.

I thought it was a cool boss. But I may be biased, I'm a big fan of Castlevania.

At this point I think you shouldn't be playing this game. I've seen you do little other than complain about it. It's fine if you don't like it, but what isn't fine is trying very hard to find flaws because this game isn't just like WoW.

I know troll, but the randoms I was with actually had a fairly hard time on the third boss. That’s the one that the teams I ran with struggled so I imagine savage will be fun.

The randoms I was with for my first attempt at clearing(yes, it got abandoned after the 4th or 5th attempt) the fourth fight couldn't grasp the mechanics, even with half the people in safe spots jumping. One even walked into the death walls and asked what mechanic they were failing. Next attempt we 1 shotted it with maybe 3 deaths total.

Troll or not, he raises a few good points. Relatively boring fights and a vampire...

I love vampires. Please give me more. Inject that stuff right into my veins.

Third and second boss were the ones I had that people seemed to have the most trouble with. Well fourth boss too (at first), but people tended to panic much more during the third boss. Several times they would run aoes into me, or I would have to heal lb3, because of the sheer amount of dead people.

The worst part of #3 is the fact that the boss AoE indicators are a similar color as the floor.

I had at least 1 Summoner (sometimes 2) in my party for every fight. The summon effects blended too well with the battle effects in most of the fights which made it difficult to maneuver properly, in my experience. Going forward I'll probably cut back heavily on effects settings for these fights.

the 2nd boss was a joke to be honest, It only killed me because my cat wanted pets, husband and i was trying to type lol.

the 3rd boss was hard 4th not so much


honestly endwalker disappointed me not a single thing needed or used duty actions not one damn thing

I guess this troll didnt read the patch notes and then comes on the forum saying how easy it was XD we will obviously be getting Savage difficulty at a later patch lol. Yeeeesh.

It's average difficulty for the normal raids.

why do people use savage as a cure all excuse for easy stuff lol (even omega and alexander stuff was HARD without going through the hell of dealing with peoples time zones and all that bs during it) as was the shb ones... there has never been a raid set that was this easy ever... even twintaina is harder than most of the boss fights.

Savage isn't an excuse stop using it as a cureall fix.. when 50% of savage hardness is getting a group on a set time schedule that matchs yours lol

Yes, this raid was too easy. Because it's the easy mode, the one that you do if you only care about story. ;)

On the first day they usually have a lot of wipes (which they did), but then our understanding grows, guides come out and our item level increases. In just days they are a lot easier.

Your suggestions for what to include in savage are too late because savage has been ready for a long time and will be releasing in two weeks.

Actually found it harder than Some of the eden fights NM wise, and maybe comparable to Deltascape, only slightly thought

keflca gave issues

twintaina gave issues

alexander (goby dude gave issues first time)

many fights in alpha and delescape were hard on normal mode

dog boy,ramuha,titan,shiva the gaia thing in shadowbringer WERE ALL HARD even on normal mode lol

normal mode zodiark was hard, normal mode hydlayn was hard ( i enjoyed it) but you know that is bullshit so why you use it like its true

Difficulty is subjective to the person. You consider all the things you listed as being hard. I found all of them incredibly easy unless on savage/extreme.

Plenty of people died to the mechanics until they know how they work. We even had a few full wipes on the 4th until people understood what was going on. It's average difficulty. The Zodiark and Hydy story trials are the ones harder than average. Not the other way around. You also don't seem to understand the Coil of Bahamut in ARR was the end high raids of ARR (Savage). They just weren't called savage at the time because the normal difficulty didn't exist. They created the normal difficulty because people complained about story being gated behind difficult fights.

At the end of the day, its all about the pattern regardless of the difficulty. The more you do it, it gets easier.
