There's already a stereotype that sages can't heal, and this is mostly true probably because people unlock sage and start doing trials/dungeons/msq with it thinking healing is dumb easy and there's no thought process behind anything.
Well, okay... We're always going to see new classes like this but what about the ones that just stand there and do nothing? Maybe they'll follow and attack occasionally but they just refuse to heal? I'm tired of carrying an entire party by myself when the other "healer" is just there for the MSQ roul. points.
Do you just AFK vote kick? Do you call them out? I know they can complain to a GM if you call them out but when they're doing almost nothing it's something entirely different. It might not be even restricted to sage but anyone in particular who behaves like this.
Thoughts?

This problem isn't new with sages and has been a dynamic since cohealing has been a thing. Bonus points if they pop an aoe regen sometimes, point to their heal parse numbers, and claim they're healing plenty.
Only surefire way to deal with it is to have a static cohealer you like or otherwise bring a friend. In PF, treat it like that DPS that's doing half of what they should be doing and you know you'll never beat enrage with - say you "have to go" and hop parties.
You can try to talk to them, and sometimes it may work out, but a lot of the time people will get super defensive/offended. So it goes. -

If they are literally doing nothing, I consider them AFK(goes for any role, not just sages) and initiate a vote kick. If someone speaks up about it, then I will say something about not being the only healer if I'm on healer for that. Just because something is stupid easy content that can be done in your sleep, doesn't mean people should get a free ride.

I still have no idea how people say you can't heal on Sage, I don't know if it changes at higher levels, but I did a few dungeons with my friends while leveling and it was really easy and intuitive to heal and shield.

In MSQ sage can usually heal one tank just fine through DPS alone assuming they Kardia them, and do damage consistently. Any healer, including the same sage can keep up the rest of of the group through occasional AOEs except for really dumb situations.
If they really are doing nothing do what you do for anyone who doesn't do what they should be doing. -

It's not just sages. Any of the healer jobs has been... interesting this expac. I've been in things with plenty of healers, sages included, who are just fine healing the party. I've also been in a LOT of things this expac where healers are almost exclusively dpsing and not bothering to heal anyone - including during unavoidable raid wide-damage. It's been kind of weird honestly.

The 'Sage' Wisdom that we can provide is this: Put Kardia on your Tank and use Taurochole/Ixochole liberally. There isn't much to it other than playing with E. Diagnosis when a tank is getting hit with a lot of things.

OP seems to be talking about MSQ roulette.
If they mean "literally nothing, just on /follow" that's bad.
If they mean "an AoE heal once every 30 seconds" ... well, that's all the healing required. Still smack them for not DPSing, but...
