The Players of Balmung (Meet and Greet topic)

Hello everyone. I am Kagato, player on the Balmung server. I realized that this is quite a popular server with players of all different sorts, even RPers and casual players alike. So, I figured we should all properly introduce ourselves so that maybe we could meet others, join linkshells, make friends, and see when people are around in order to set up events, parties, or just talk and meet each other. This topic isn't about everyone gathering in one spot at one time and having a big meeting. It's just a topic for people to see a bunch of players, see what they're like, and maybe make some friends and allies. So, let me start by introducing myself.

Linkshell Status: Part of 2 OOC social shells. Always willing to join more, be it RP or not. I also want to create my own shell, but not entirely sure if there's anyone who would want to join it since there's already so many shells out there.

About me in FFXIV: I intend to be a regular player. I don't see myself quitting anytime soon, so if I'm ever gone, it'll be for a short time. I plan on being as much of a Dark Knight as I'm allowed to be until one is officially released. I look forward to instanced events, such as raids and boss fights (my favorite). I'm just trying to meet others and earn some new friends so I'm not wandering the world by myself, relying on shouts in Ul'dah. I like the pirate theme of Limsa Lominsa and I like to imagine having my own in-game pirate ship and starting up my own pirate crew in Eorzea. Not sure if anyone would want to be a part of that or not yet so I don't bring it up much.

About me in FFXIV: I started playing FFXIV in closed beta on Selbina, bought the CE and played the extra 10 days on Selbina but rerolled on Fabul on day 1 after the retail release. My goals in FFXIV are first and foremost to have fun, and secondly to make Abaddon the best shell on the server. My main focus for my shell is to be able to handle any content SE can throw at us without outside help, to include free company content in the future.

About me in FFXIV: Played since CE with some friends from FF11. Stopped playing for awhile when I got irritated with no mailing system among other things that have already been spoken.
Subscribed when I saw the Legacy deal, figured the rewards would be worth putting up without a mailing system haha.

Other than that I like to talk, seriously. I much rather someone strike up a conversation (especially when I am crafting) with me or others as the game is more entertaining when you see all the other avatars are really people haha.

My life in FFXIV: I like to play all of the classes/jobs so I can fill any role that's needed in a party. I'd say I'm fairly good with every class, but my favorite is probably Dragoon. I like to explore a lot, especially in those places with those level 70+ monsters that could kill you just by looking at you. Needless to say I've died a lot (and spent a small fortune in repairs). I'm not much of a chatty person, but if you need help with something feel free to ask, anything like mini ifrit/garuda, toto-rak, DH, job quests, primals, or if you're new and just don't know what to do. Even if you have no idea what you're doing for stuff like DH or the primals, I can help you learn them (except maybe garuda, I haven't done that one much yet). Hell, I'll even help you get to an aetherial gate you're having trouble with. Speaking of which, if you're interested in getting all of the gates, check out my guide on XIVpads, the link is in my sig. I've been told it's pretty helpful :p.

I picked this server since it seems to be considered the unofficial RP server, and I loved RPing on EverQuest.

About me in FFXIV: Currently I'm playing this game not as much as I want too. Busy schedule and all. Also trying to focus on other things beside the game, like drawing. Otherwise, I'm quite cheerful and laid back. Always willing to help people and will usually try to raise the mood with silly jokes. I'm the type of person that doesn't mind doing things in this game with complete strangers. Even if it ends in complete and utter failure lol. I won't also exclude people that are new to a fight or instance. I'm here to have fun and enjoy myself foremost.

About me in FFXIV: I played on the original closed Beta (Or was that an Alpha? I forget) back when Limsa Lominsa was the only choice and hardly anything seemed to work as intended. After getting an early look at the game and seeing its abysmal release I decided against playing but kept an eye on the information out of curiosity as I had been an avid player of FFXI 'til Abyssea ruined the fun for me.

Upon seeing Yoshida's work to make this a better game I've become interested again and after taking advantage of the Welcome Back Campaign I'm very impressed with how much has changed since I last played. I'm very looking foreward to this game and am having quite a bit of fun and all I'm missing now is a good community to join for fun, frolic, and epic adventures. And I fully intend to stay a while after playing these past several days. I am a bit sickly so I may disappear for a few days here and there, but I always come back.

Roleplayer: Yus! I RP all the time! My playing on XIV only ever consists of 3 things: Running around Eorzea doing runs and leves and stuff, sitting in a corner being AFK, or RPing!

Linkshell Status: Part of Intermission. Also, a member of Corvus Cinis and its OOC sister shell, Aes Sedai Tower. I also started up the Cuddle Republic, but that shell doesn't have many members at all.

About me in FFXIV: I play almost every night I suppose. I'm quite shy, though, so I usually avoid parties, which makes farming seals rather difficult >.>. Atm, I'm only a Dragoon/Lancer, havn't got anything else to 50, nor do I yet have any wish to. I'm still levelling Archer and Conjurer, though, to get a few skills from those classes. I also get a sorta RP withdrawal, because I love RP so much, and when none is going on, it makes me sad. Oh, and I also like to offer cuddles! ^^

About me. Well im just an average gamer. Got into FFXI pretty hard for a while. Then funds got in my way. When i was able to play again i choose ffxiv instead of XI. Hoping to get into ffxiv as much as i was into ffxi but its not easy when no one you know is playing XIV. :(
