Just Bought The Game..... Can't Log In?

Greetings,

Well this looks great for me...:confused:
I just dropped 60 bucks on the game downloaded the expansions...
Tried to log in to the launcher and get a "technical error has occurred"...
Naturally I went to the website to try to log in there....
Nope. Nothing. Same error on website....:(

Then, to my "pure joy" they have a maintenance resolution stating..
"No worries we fixed it":rolleyes:
Well its not fixed, and I see a handful people on here that cannot get in either.

This is not a great impression for me, depending on how long this goes or if its not resolved quickly I am going to be requesting a refund.
I have no loyalty or connection or time invested in this game and I would rather not start like this.

I have also created a support ticket.

I understand these issues are vexing, but I encourage you to give the game a shot. These issues typically don't last a huge amount of time and I think you will enjoy it when you get into it.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it seems the log in servers are broken. I do hope you'll be able to get some play time in but it seems everyone is locked out from playing at the moment.

I feel your frustration, and good luck getting a refund from this company. If you do let me know how you did it.

Not that it helps, but your timing (luck?) really sucks. This hasn't been a problem (on SE's end at least) til today. Previous problems prior to EW release were ISP's doing dodgy stuff. Hope your experience gets better, for what it's worth!

Knowing I'm not the only one drowning here is a little bit of re-assurance.

I am capable of waiting a few days for the resolution, I just know I have been locked out of other MMO's for almost a month because of strange account issues.

I hope you all can get in soon.

Get a refund if you want but what did you expect during one of the biggest expansions of the entire game's release. We are overloaded right now and the login servers have crashed during prime time. Log in during off-peak hours.

I have never played this game, never followed it, never even heard about it, seen content around it.

The only reason I came here was at a friends recommendation, so excuse me for not knowing.

I do hope you'll be able to play with your friends in time. Friends in the game make everything fun!

If it had been any other day, you might have had a long queue but at least not had these errors.

Trust me, the wait will be worth it and i'm sure you wont have to wait months. it's an amazing game.

Issue seems to be resolved. Mogstation up, just got logged back into the game with a sub 1k queue. Good luck everyone!

Get a refund before its too late. Check back in a month or two...

Best advice I can give you is play in the 1amEST to 3pmEST hour range, that's what's worked for me.

Also have a backup game or two ready so you have something to play in case u can't play FFXIV.

For anyone that can't do that then I'd probably say come back in January, sucks to hear but if you decide that that's unacceptable then I don't blame ya but I'd definitely come back at some point to play cause FFXIV is a game you'll be glad u played.

The maintenance resolution was for yesterday's issue, cause they had the same problem around 3 am as well. But now its really resolved again. I am in the queue right now :)

Although I agree that it is sad that they have these issues. But they did give us 7 days free. Hope if they keep up issues they will add more cause this is a bit sad.

I have to say I have never run into such supportive players on the forums, thank you all for the advice, information, and follow up.

It seems I can now log in, now lets see about those queues everyone's fighting.
