I just cancelled. There was no choice for "Quitting because you cant make the game available for me to play". So thought I'd post here so they can see it. Not interested in players opinions keep them to yourself.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would blame you for this. I hope it dies down so you can come back and enjoy Endwalker.
Nothing wrong with that. Can't ethically pay a sub for a service youre not receiving.
yoshi and the other devs dont read the english forums
I'll give you my opinion anyways because this is a public forum:
You did the right thing by unsubscribing because you can't play, but you definitely could have done without the passive aggressive attitude to the fellow players who didn't do a single thing to sleight you.
The forums were total mayhem before but now that every salty fella is posting about their traumatic personal experiences with queues and how they cancel their accounts, each in a own thread, more mayhem!
Totally needed that extra thread pal, i believe you will make the difference! You will change the world with this brave heroic deed you have done!
And thank you sir for letting us know this life changing crazy news, the world will never be as it were before this thread!
Aye, you're doing the right thing. No sense in stressing out and repeatedly getting frustrated. I'm currently sitting here surfing the forums and babysitting yet another login queue, today I started at 2:30 PM and it is now 2 hours later, and it says I'm behind 1,104 other players, with no 2002 error so far.
Have fun during your break, hopefully things will get better soon.
I can understand, come back in a couple of months, things will probably be better then.
Nothing wrong with voting with your wallet, specially if you're not getting satisfaction out of your hard earned buck.
But you actually did want players opinions and likely sympathizers, that's why you posted on a public forums. Why contradict yourself?
Hell it would be more appropriate to cancel your sub and send feedback to the team directly on why you did.
I hope things will be better if/when you eventually choose to return. In the meantime enjoy whatever other game you end up playing.
Respect your decision and agree with you voting with your wallet.
However saying you are not interested in other's opinions is a passive aggressive enflaming post, especially considering you made this post on a public forum that is open to discussion. Perhaps next time, leave something like this out. Your stance was fine without it, it was unneeded.
Fair, dont expect to not get an opinion on a public forum though lmao.
Bye, Felicia.

Same. Time for the wallets to do some talking since they obviously don't care otherwise seeing how they continue to advertise the game via their official twitter and not mention anything about the current issues, compensations and what they are planning to do about it.
SE needs to seriously reconsider how they handle this game. Forcing people to keep up a sub in order to not lose their Large Mansions, while simultaneously depriving them of the playtime they paid for or forcing them into unhealthy habits like staying up till 5 AM in order to play is something that shouldn't fly at all in the gaming community. Hopefully FF fanboys will wake up to these facts faster than WoW fans did to Blizzard.
I also canceled my subscription today because I'm tired of waiting 4+ hours to get lodged in. Why pay for a service you can't use!
I'm about to do the same. If its like this still after Christmas, then Im bailing until they fix the issue. The only way I wouldnt is if they extend the free play.
somehow I think Square Enix will be just fine.
That would be the productive thing to do, rather than constantly whine, just stop playing until things get better
I mean, you can take the L for whatever days you have remaining, or potentially try and see if you can get your sub refunded, you never know, and then leave it to either never return or return when things are back to normal.
You have control over whether or not you can 'move on with my life'.
I don't think anyone can blame you OP. If you pay for a service, but you can not use said service, then it's only logical to cancel it.
That's fine, but bear in mind that your sub will continue for the remaining time you have, it just won't renew.
Depend on when that is, the server issues may be over or at least reduced by then.
So the time you won't be able to play due to lack of sub will in fact be the time you can play due to shorter queues.
JUST ANNOUCING EVERYONE! I'm leaving. DON'T!!!!!!!!! Come LOOK for me!!!!! Leave me alone. I don't want to talk about it. Sigh. Can't even believe it....No, don't ask me what's wrong, I don't want to talk about it!! Goodbye. I'm leaving. Don't even respond to me, I'm leaving. Well this is it. Goodbye everyone!! Not going to stop me, are you?? Because I don't want you to. By the way, I'm leaving. Don't bother telling me to stay. Don't start begging-this is REALLY it. Goodbye. Farewell. Still here? Watch me walk out. Are you watching?? Not that I need you to. But are you watching? I'm on my way out!!
But in all seriousness, I do agree that people who are unhappy absolutely should unsub. It's actually very insanely silly to be subscribed when you can't even get in. I have no idea why people are fighting tooth and nail over it. Just unsub and play something else for a while lol. XIV isnt going anywhere.
Well said. Honestly it's such over exaggerating on some people's part. Dec 3 was the start of early access and it's Dec 14th now. Launch was Dec 7th. So the expac has been live for 11 days including early access so less than 2 weeks. Give it a rest crusaders of blame SE. Yes it's frustrating but seriously give it a rest crusaders of blame.
If you're absolutely unable to play due to your real life schedule lining up with the worst congestion during prime times, then yeah it's perfectly reasonable to cancel your sub for the duration of the rush. I don't think anyone would actually speak against it. I ran afoul of EST prime time yesterday and yeah I can see if someone is ONLY ever seeing the login screen after several days then they should probably save their money.
Sad to see people go, but that's life.
Honestly I find OP's statement to really mean "I'm only interested in opinions that align with mine".
Not saying OP shouldn't unsub, they can do what they want and if they can't play they may as well stop paying for the game. It makes perfect sense.
I'm just not a fan of the whole "I'm going to announce to the community what I'm doing but also immediately disregard how the community reacts". If OP is not interested in what others think, then why post on a platform that is specifically for expressing what we think?
The problem is that they have already received money for the service they did not. And there is no legal way to venerate these stolen money.
Had me till the last line, OP. But coming from someone whose opinion matters zilch to anyone: good choice to all who cancelled subscriptions while being stuck in queues. I would too. Just resubscribe when things die down a bit and you want to come back. :)
