To get good and take all their players back.
I'm not even kidding
Your first post on the forums and this is how you decided to use it?
Got to love these brand new people that don't even have a month under the belt making ridiculous posts.
We were fine before the invasion that crippled log in for our xpac. Wow players are welcome but don't underestimate what you did to the game by all deserting that wonderful game of yours.
Man these SE white knights ARE fast! that wasn't even 5 mins
I don't get all this hyper loyalty nonsense. Play what you like, play whats good? We're in the end all just consumers looking to get the best bang for out buck.
Can't stay on top forever, even the most long-held dynasties eventually get dethroned (unless we go into freemason and conspiracy 13 families, but WoWs devs are too stupid to be anything conspiracy related.)
Personally to me WoW felt alienating. It was too big, too old, and thus amongst other players you would never be anything. Just another face in the crowd. While FFXIV you're also 'just another player' it feels like you're actually someone, amongst the story, amongst your friends, amongst the world of other players.
And there's not a lot they can do to fix that feeling.
Forum join dates are not the same as a user's starting date.
That being said I do not see WoW fixing it's multisystemic situational failures anytime soon. I certainly don't mind having more people to play with in the actual game itself-but these login queues are just too demanding.
I hope wow gets better. Shadowlands permenantly lost me forever. But when wow is good ffxiv is challenged to keep up, and that makes FF better.
What I don't want is for wow to die and FF to become what wow is atm. Which is a bunch of devs with a Rockstar mentality who can do no wrong.
Tbh the wow I love is long since dead, and it's soul desecrated. But if it's rise can make ffxiv push the limits then I'm all for it.
Not to be rude, but it is a little too late. I have fallen in love with FFXIV and I love my Free company. The game is cool and I really like it. I just have a HUGE ISSUE with SE and "Error 2002" stuff. other then that I am madly in love with FF.
I have no plans what so ever to return to the booty grabbers and give them my money. They need to be taught a hard lesson in treating their customers with dignity as well as their employees. They can go to hell for all I care.
I think the worst thing people were doing and still are is blaming the former WoW streamers like Asmongold, Preach, and Pyro who seem to genuinely enjoy the game.
The Downfall of Activison-Blizzard as a whole and FFXIV releasing a highly anticipated Expansion during the same year was a perfect storm that was doomed for disaster.
Yeah they do and they all seem to be pretty cool in my book although I can't say I follow them but have watched a few of their streams.
I love the cities being full. It makes the game so much more exciting. Having all these new players is wonderful but be that as it may it was not anticipated and as a result the game was not prepared to host all these new people. We are paying the price for it at the moment.
Yeah... I'll be completely real with you, it looks like the people still enjoying WoW never left it to begin with, there's no way someone plays all the way through Endwalker and go "Yeah, WoW's a better game for sure".
They just messed up the re-release of the Mage Tower and more just quit.. sorry :(
Oh.. its hate on ppl who complaining about any aspect of the game not only queue. Say that you dont like Limsa music - BAM !! WhiteKnights !
Try mention that Textures are abit low - and wait for responds. Not saying that's whole community is like that , but lots of Karen's are lurking here .
I'm definitely thinking about resubbing for the revolutionary concept of timegating NPC dialogue.
That is not a joke, it's actually something they're doing.
To be honest, I think Yoshi P would like Blizzard to get their act together. He is a huge Blizzard fan if I remember correctly. Plus, it always better for a game to have good competition.
I like both games and for me they are both different enough to not be comparable to each other, at least if we talk Classic/TBC Classic/WotLK classic.
FF14 is a presentation theme park MMO. It takes your hand and brings you onto a roller coaster ride of beautiful music, atmospheric zones and cool, flashy boss fights. While WoW is a purely there for the gameplay, go and create your own adventure.
The combat and controls are way better in WoW, every class skill for itself feels much more impactful in WoW compared to FF14 where it’s just a cogwheel in your rotation. The de-facto absence of interrupt or CC mechanics in FF14 plays a big role in this as well.
The open world in WoW is much much much more meaningful as well, pvp (on pvp servers), contested resources and a lot more (random) loot, compared to FF14 where the open world really serves no deeper gameplay purpose at all. Resources are personal loot in unlimited quantities, loot is hard locked to the mob, there is no random element whatsoever and open pvp does not exist in FF14.
Also the raids in FF (if you can call them raids) are not even close to the level and depth and dedication required as in WoW. It’s just choreography bosses in a round circle you teleport to by menu, well depending on your tastes that can be good or bad. Going to a raid in WoW feels like a massiv adventure from stocking up consumables at the AH to your way to the raid instance with your friends, where in FF the focus is just on 100% action.
Well ok, it needs to be designed around console users, so it can’t have deep boss mechanics like CC, kick orders, special assignments or difficult buff/debuff mechanics, because frankly, I don’t even know how you can even play this with a controller at all.
So for me, two entirely different genres, FF14 is big on the side stuff while not so much on the actual gameplay and WoW is heavy gameplay but it can become boring quickly once you’ve acquired everything because there’s not much side stuff to do.
wow in my opinion wont get better, since they created wow token, they destroyed the game, and now forcing players pay 60 months of game, 30 days are not available.
wow now is as mutch pay to win as BDO.
At least BDO doesn't have graphics from 2002 though.
That particular train took off long ago, somewhere between Cataclysm and Mists of Panderia. The whole Sylvanus story has become a "This woman should be redeemed, again. and again. and again. and ... "
It's not going to happen when the writers of WoW seem to think that retconning 8 years of Sylvanus "I gladly commit genocide".
true. wow missed the opportunity too much times, players not going return to it. I wish soon or later they shut down all servers. Asmond spend all his life playing wow, making a good impression of game for years, and then wen hes honest to say that today's game isn't good, blizz dev use company twitter account to hassle him.
When Metzen left the company the remaining ruins of the WoW storyline just crumbled altogether.
I said it time and time again, they should have let the guys that did MoP have a bigger say in the story and game design, especially the one that designed timeless isle, which easily was the best piece of content WoW ever had and the story was good without throwing a dozen major characters in the meat grinder.
