Is the queue really not moving after 30 minutes?

Subject says it all. Half hour of 3001 errors and I got into the queue, which surprisingly was under 600 (I was expecting thousands). 573 to be exact.

30 minutes later, its still 573. Is this normal? Is no one really logging out at all? Because that hasn't been my experience in the past and makes me wonder if its actually working or if the entire server is just AFK bots.

I had that yesterday. Complaining about it to LS mates on Discord helped as suddenly it went down by 74 and I was in 30min later.

I'd love to be in a queue today. Unfortunately "The World is currently full. Please wait until an opening is available and try again."

I've been trying again every 15mins, but nada. Oh to be at 8,573 in a queue again!

Prior to 3001 occurring I had fellow FC members in queue upwards of 2k, and they all instantly got in to the game.

I believe that because of this we have to sit in queue for quite some time until the number of players in-game goes below some magic threshold.

I'm wondering if perhaps a server failed on Square's end and so the capacity of players allowed on a server dropped, kicking a bunch of people randomly and causing the 3001 errors.

Didn't hear anything about a bunch of people being kicked in-game, but sources on Gilgamesh confirm that people that were in the thousands in queue were allowed in immediately... and just after that the 3001 errors began for at least 20 minutes before people could get back in to queue.

I myself have been in queue for over half an hour at 203 and have not moved. Time will tell.

That was me two days ago. I feel your pain. :( Hope it lets you in soon!

It still hasn't moved. 57 minutes at the exact same queue number now. I don't know what to make of it because it's so weird. (But it hasn't booted me 3 times, so that's a plus.)

Makes sense. Mine started moving and now it's going down by 75 a minute, several minutes in a row. Very odd behavior!

if the queue stops moving, leave the queue and quickly reenter to refresh your connection to the queue.
works for me after a few refreshes

ya im on gilgamesh and i was in the thousands and got in all of a sudden, was like yay , right?played for a good 30mins.. i admit tho, there was some sync issues and laggin. but iwas in.. ! :D

then i get disconnected, and have had 3001 world is full try again later nonstop since, been a hr... just let me into the queue again ffs

Yoshi P explained what happened.

When a world is at user cap, the lobby server waits until 100 spaces have cleared up. Then it checks again, since people are returning from duties all the time, and allows however many of the next batch of people were in the queue to get in.

When the world is full and the queue doesn't seem to be moving, it's because you're literally waiting for enough people to join a duty, log off, or lose their connection to free up spaces.

Large scale instance duties like Bozja actually could help clear out some of the server overhead, but there aren't enough people doing that content any more since everyone wants to be in the overworld for MSQ.

wow i finnally got in the queue , prolly cause i posted something? :P 2000 people, lets go! cant wait. i do like this game, been playin a month now, went ahead and baught it, so it kinda sucks that now when i want to play i cant, and sometimes when i finnally get in after queue finished , my mind has wandered and im up too something else.. :( hope these issues resolve soon.. wish i played , monthes ago, to get to current content thats causeing the population boom lol. o well, atleast 3001 is over and im on the waiting list

No kidding ... I lost server connection in the middle of a frontline now I get that error ... Sux badly

Hrmmm....every other time I have joined the que, there has been at least some change to the number I am at....tonight I am at 2075 on Coeurl....left que, tried logging into other charactors and got "Please try again later". Finally back in que...at 2075. I think it broke.

keep getting the 2002 kick, twice so far, but has saved my place in line since im babysitting it lol.. 1000 to go, come on! :D

The queue is much slower today. I've usually been able to get in a queue of 4k people in about two hours. Today, the line was less than that- and in Two hours I've barely gotten half way.

I know it's congested and I'm trying not to be ticked off but I'm mad and tired of it. There has got to be a better way. The worst part is I can't even transfer off the server I'm on to try and reduce the queue because the service is down.

EDIT- The queue is a lot more stable, I didn't have to baby sit it at all. The trade off I guess. it takes three hours to go down at 3/4k, but you're less likely to be instantly disconnected.

odd, im seeing the queue go much faster today then the last week.

I have noticed the last two days that while queue seems shorter and much more stable, it is moving much slower. For me this has been a huge improvement since I can actually get a place in queue and log in to the game without constant errors, even if it is a long wait.

well...it finally started moving...very slowly...time to catch up on Wheel of Time and have my supper while I wait heh

Yeah, I've been stuck at 638 for a full hour - after an hour of "world is full" errors - so, you're not alone ;;

3 1/2 hrs in the queue, I get down to 600, 2002, ok, then get 4 more lobby 2002's and now im back to 6k in the queue. I've tried not to complain, i don't mind sitting in a queue really. I do mind getting thrown out of the queue and not being able to get back in and then losing my place in it.

Free to play is probably why this is happening. Subscribed player base should have priority over the FTP "trials".

They literally do.
Trial players are continually shoved to the back of the queue and generally unexpected to play at all honestly.

I feel that the queue got a lot worse today. Previous days I would start at 6k and by 30 min I'd be down to 3.5-3k.

I queued 20 mins ago and I went down from 4k to 3.8k.

This is getting worse by the day and nothing is being done aside from 7 """""FREE"""""" days.

It's a mix of AFK bots, farm bots and some GCBTW people gatekeeping the game so that WoW refugees can't log in. You can check that on reddit.

i had to buy the game right when endwalker came out, wasnt even done with ARR, because Trial players cant even join a queue, and since all, servers.. are in a queue , trial players cant play 'at all'. so thats not the issue

I was surprised today because I was 1784 in line, but then suddenly I was in. I hope the people ahead of me didn't crash or something.

Whoot! finally made it in...less than an hour before I need to head to sleep so I can work in the morning. Ahh well, get a couple minor quests done I guess, at least thats something lol.

Yeah, they wanted to. That's the OCE data center they promised us. That's at least a dozen more servers right there, and would alleviate the strain from all the current Australia and Oceania players current on JP and NA. They ordered the servers last spring. But the expected delivery date is not until early 2022.

All enterprise data center server sales currently have a backorder of 12 months or more. Square Enix is suffering through their own version of queue hell.

That doesn't really explain what I'm seeing, though. The queue didn't budge at all for an hour. Then it went down 500 in under ten minutes. I guess it's possible that less than 100 people logged off in an hour and then 500 people logged off in 10 minutes, but that seems unlikely.

9006 disconnect after abot 90mins :(

now 2000ish in line.... alrdy logged in dont leaver queue, back of line.. man :(
