Make sure you are targeting them when you do it.

i typed it 20 times zip and after you want to kill it

If they tell you to do something in the color orange, target the NPC in question then do it as a / command. /soothe for example.

Has to be typed exactly as it is in the quest log. It is case sensitive. Also need any punctuation. There was one that didn't work for me because I missed a comma.

because you didn't capitalize "Crosses'

Don't put in the quotation marks (the ") just the words exactly as they're in the quest description. make sure you've selected the quest target before you /say the phrase and make sure you're using /say and not any other chat channels.
