Good thing we won this before endwalker dropped.
we are nice, to those that deserve it, we do not cater to entitled kids or crybabies
Haha whatever xD
We are nice, but only to people who's opinions I agree with!
Don't attack my fav game thats infused with my identity!
The difference in the atmosphere around this game's community since the WOW-boom is palpable.
I think people are entitled to voice there opinions about this launch as they are paying customers as well. So far it has actually been the worst expansion launch FF has had. Error 2002 has been very frustrating for a lot of people and understandably so. Good news is if you can get past error 2002 the servers have remained stable. People like yourself need to stop acting so high and mighty and allow people to vent there frustrations. Although some people have had a good experience with the expansion so far many people feel robbed as they have not even been able to play yet.
The People who ramble on the Forum do not Represent the vast Playerbase.
Still very much a Great Community that Deserves the Award.
The only reason anybody would joke or think otherwise is because of the Obvious Issues with Logging Into the game
And because of Forum Fighting...which again doesnt represent the Whole game.
This is called "social media entitlement".
you can complain, for sure, is your right to complain. but...
Do we need 100 threads of people crying? (just like when you turn off the TV for a kid.)... NO.
It just looks that D. Trump made accounts just to post nonsense Qanon hate (at least, that what all the forum complain looks to me... childish hate).
EW definitly the biggest launch issue expansion for my experience in FFXIV
I have only migrate to EU DC since HW, I am sure I never experience that many 2002 nor such long queue (easily 8K-10K at prime time)
Even when 2.0 launch, I was seeing somewhere 3k queue at prime time
I hate to break it to you, but you are either nice or you aren't.
If you have to say "we are nice, BUT..." then you most likely aren't.
e: vvvvvvvv
Legit compared people complaining about a service they paid for in advance and didn't get to racist and fascists.
OK!
Mods lock the thread please, we've peaked. It's just not humanly possible to get more hyperbole than that.
- he said, angrily.
Who cares really? I will express myself, i will not hide feelings and thoughts just because people expect me tbe robot with no passion or care about anything.
If that means im bad then to hell with them. Im not going to hold things in just to make others feel"safe". So to hell with community rewards in general. I will be myself, you got a proplem thats your own issue.
I will say whats in my heart that i care about and if you dont like it then deal with it.
Im not here to make it a cub cakes and rainbows safe space for you. Im here to play ff and rp.
WoW= Blunt
FFXIV= Passive aggressive
ARR launch??
Queue??
Man, you're forgetting the hell that was ARR launch.
No queues initially, just 1017 you if you tried to get in when servers were full, no afk kick, 5000 concurrent player limit PER SERVER, unstable dutyfinder that would frequently 90k you after leaving an instance, EU servers didn't even exist, y'all were connected to montreal, so connections were just inherently bad. They literally had to stop digital sales 4 days after the start of early access to slow the tide.
We're 3 days in, it's not ShB levels of clean, but it's not near ARR levels of disaster yet.
iam only kind to those that deserve my kindness iam not saint teresa i have no intention of being kind to everyone, and if you dont like it then its your problem not mine
In my experience the FFXIV community is pretty good, but there is a world of difference when you come to these official forums. Many of the people here just seem to want to be eternally miserable and bring everyone else down with them too.
This is really the impression that I'm getting as a new player.
In the game itself the people I meet are super kind and friendly. I mean, I'm doing my first Alliance Raids as a sprout and people are actually giving me player commendations afterwards.
When I don't even understand what the hell is going on 90% of the time, maybe they appreciate me voicing the fact that I am new every time I join something I haven't done yet.
I even joined a German FC as someone who doesn't even speak German, because the players were so friendly to me, they actually switch to English whenever I join the conversation.
On the forums, it seems that this is WoW 2.0, sadly. Or something reminiscent of US politics.
I'm actually considering just not frequenting the forums anymore, because of the endless whine and moaning I've already had to endure after only about 2 days here.
"But it's our right to voice our opinions!" Yeah, and it's our right to mock them or otherwise be irritated by the sheer repetition.
"I'm a paying customer!" Yes, and so are we. The problem isn't that you're a paying costumer, it's that you fail to listen to reason.
"They could've seen this coming!" Okay, you try convincing a board of directors/shareholders that you predict a surge like this happening. Good luck.
"Why aren't there more servers?!" Global. Semiconductorchip. Shortage.
I could go on, but what's the point, really? The people who should be influenced by these words, have repeatedly chosen to simply ignore the counter argumentation.
"*Surprised Pikachu* You're not nice to me ;_;!" >_>
The frustration are fullly understandable, and I think SE is not entirely free of blame especially on EU DC issue
we certainly do not need so many thread about the same issue, if mod could condense all threads relate to server congestion issue into one big megathread, they would be nice
I honestly think the idea of a 'best community award' is farcical to begin with and only serves to make people butt heads.
The developers understand PERFECTLY that fans get upset or disappointed. That's why these forums aren't censored to high hell.
Damn right we are.
I keep seeing this a lot, but "best community" doesn't mean "a wonderful community worthy of heartwarming ballad", it just means it's an MMO community that's better than the other MMO communities out there. So if you think the FFXIV community is bad, then apparently the other MMO communities are even worse.
There are people rightfully upset and complaining. That does not make it a bad community. Some of the complaints and cruel responses to those complaints are pretty loathsome, but like... there are people saying really negative things all year long if you look for it or pay attention.
It's a dumb choice to focus on those instances and say it's a bad community, ignoring all the good.
The forums don't even make up a single percentage of the actual community, especially when you consider how many posts have a post count under 10.
Aren't these community awards about in-game interactions? Why would a game has its community awards deterred by ranting customers due to an foreseeable and inevitable cause on a forum? Have you ever seen people saying "FF14 has great community" shows you video and screenshots of the game's forum and subreddit?
