DirectX12 Issues

Hey all, I seem to be having similar trouble to others with their game crashing upon opening from the launcher, however from what I have read they have been able to fix the problem by selecting to run in DX9 my game however is crashing due to the game being unoptimized for DX9 and my PC running DX12. I have searched for every download under the sun to fix the problem but cannot seem to. Feeling like I need some divine Squeenix intervention.

If you have the latest you have it all. Also the game doesn't run on dx12, highest version for ffxiv is dx11

WTB DX12 support... However, DX11 better than DX10 garbage lol

Yes, the issue Is that there just seems to be no support for this and I cannot roll back DirectX12

No support for what?
Windows 10 and 11 both support Direct X 11, If you have to use Direct X 9 on these OS you need to add it in.
Look up legacy components > and Direct play. But even that should only be for direct X 8 and older.

Direct X is software not hardware you 3090 will work just fine with any version of direct X 6 and later.1

I have DirectX 12, there seems to be no support for DirectX 12, You can run the game on DirectX 9 however If there are more than a few people around me the game crashes meaning I need to run on DirectX 12. I know DirectX comes with older versions but for whatever reason, they are not working

I have DX12 since i have a 2080TI however I can run the game on dx11..... on the launcher setting you can select DX11 or 9 i believe. However, you might need to try to repair the game

Have tried this as well as a complete reinstall.

try uninstalling your graphics card drivers and what not and redoing them

have you tried searching for the June 2010 DirectX runtime redistributable? if you get that it should fix any DirectX issues you might have by installing missing runtimes for you. I guarantee the issue you are having is not a DX12 issue, it is either DX11 or DX9 that is the issue.
