When can we start download new patches?

The maintenance window is between 1:00am 2 Dec and 1:00am 3 Dec. So I won't be able to start download new patches until maintenance finishes?

On my PS5 the countdown says it will unlock at 3:50am EST, so I'm guessing around then for PS4/5 players. We will have to see though. They usually put the patch up for download a couple of hours in advance, sometimes sooner.

Edit: Thanks for the information below. That narrows the window down considerably.

Yoshida said in the patch reading stream that it'll be around afternoon Japanese time.

We don't know when it will start. I'll be watching this post closely. If you get the download started, please post here and specify PC, PS4/5, or Mac.

It would appear so.

I just tried to login and wasn't able to. So I guess we'll just have to wait until after 1 am PST tonight. :)

Edit: seeing what was posted above, I guess I'll periodically check this afternoon and evening, just in case they do allow early patching.

I am hoping they let us down load it sooner just so we can log in when it comes up

A few hours should be enough for some people, but I know that not everyone's internet is the same. If it goes live at 10/11pm EST then that will give everyone 4/5 hours to get it downloaded and ready to go.

It should be, they said it would be down from 12/2 1am Pacific standard time to 12/3 1am Pacific standard time that would be 3am eastern time so with any luck maybe they will let us start earlier download. Who knows.

1 am PST will be 4 am EST, no?

It's 4am eastern, you're forgetting daylight time change.

Mine Endwalker countdown on PS5 is showing an unlock at midnight EST. So I am assuming after midnight EST for me the patch and client will update. I will be checking though. Don't want to be stuck at 4AM when the servers go live downloading.

Finished my download! Man.. the excitement and anticipation is really starting to get to me now!

That was only one Patch, to small to be Endwalker, more Patches will come.

Next Patch is up 6293.64MB

Endwalker download is live now. This is the second download for PC and this one is 9.6 GB's.

My second download only shows 6.3 GB after the initial download of 4.2.

It also seems to be the expansion download since it had a new user agreement to accept, which the first download lacked.

I'm downloading right now and mine is 10.53 gigs.

Yeah I had to accept the user agreement too and the Icon clearly shows Endwalker. The previous one updated but still showed Shadowbringers on the launcher.

And Edit mine is only 6.3 GB's too I was looking at download speed earlier. Need some sleepy soon.

6293.64MB here, PC.

There hasn't been a 2nd update for PS4/5 yet but I'm hoping it won't be too far behind.

Ah. You would be correct. I'll keep an eye out for a little while but yeah, it appears that everything is in order.

Just finished the second update a few minutes ago, assuming this is the last download necessary since it had updated to show Endwalker instead of Shadowbringers on the screen for PC.

hmm internet speed is pretty slow. but it will be done before the launch for sure!

PS4 9.4 GB done and splash screen shows greyed out play with Endwalker ready

For some reason the patcher keeps saying my ID or password is incorrect. I know they are not cause I am able to login in on the website and mogstation just fine. And I double and triple checked I was using the right stuff. I can't patch it if it won't let me login. Anybody else have this issue?

try copy and paste login and password from notepad. sometime it uses different locale/language. Also try to change username and password
