So... Have you decided on what Job you'll be using for each Role for the Role quests?

Or are you not doing all 5 role quests?

Or are you the type to just max all the jobs?

Tank: Paladin (for that fat self healing)
Healer: SCH (only because I'm leveling SMN as well)
Magic DPS: SMN
Physical DPS: MCH
Melee DPS: Questionable. Perhaps Reaper or Monk

Order of leveling: SMN/SCH, PLD, MCH, Melee

PLD for tank, WHM for healer, and I really haven't thought about the rest, probably MCH for ranged DPS, SMN for magic DPS and and DRG for melee DPS.

But tank will be the one I do first like in ShB and that means my main, PLD. :D

Ranged DPS: Bard
Melee DPS: Dragoon
Tank: Paladin or Dark Knight depending on which gets leveled high enough first.

A lot of them were rather easy to decide:
Tank: GNB (I like how biúsy it is, and EW is more of the same, while still gating WAR selfheal way higher lvl wise than back in SB)
Heal: Ast (the least bad healer, unless there are big changes between media tour and release)
Magic DPS: RDM (not goign to touch SCH again until they fix the bs they did to it at the start of shb thus no smn, don't have BLM leveled)

only ones really hard to decided are melee and ranged phys. And i'll probbaly see what I run them on once I get through the other three and managed to get some time to feel how each of them plays in EW.

Tank: WAR(Because Ardbert)
Healer: WHM (I like the class and already have it at 80)
Ranged: MCH (It's my main, so that's a no brainer)
Melee: TBD (I have ninja at 70 but didn't care for the class, so maybe Reaper?)
Caster: Red Mage (I need to start working on that one)

Tank: Warrior
Melee: Samurai/Reaper/Monk (different characters)
Ranged: Dancer/Machinist/Bard (different characters)
Caster: Red Mage/Summoner (different characters)
Healer: Undecided if I'll level a healer, maybe Scholar on my Summoner character

I don't know if I'll do all role quests on a single character yet. The post quests for Shadowbringers were fine, but I didn't like that I had to unlock and clear some Extreme trials for it. It wasn't hard to do them unsynced, especially with the help of one stranger from PF for Bismarck, but still didn't like the requirement though I understood why they exist.

If Endwalker post quests don't have such requirements, then I might try to unlock them as well.

Healer: AST, might switch to Sage (try it out when leveling to 80)

Caster: SMN/RDM – I'll be playing SMN for the MSQ and following up with RDM in roulettes.

Healer: SCH by default as it'll be ready to go through SMN. We probably won't have "healer in need" for a while so my WHM/AST/SGE will be waiting because I like to make use of that. WHM will probably be the first dedicated healer to 90.

Ranged: Probably BRD, maybe DNC

Melee: Whichever one has the best glamours, or possibly whichever one I've ended up with lots of gear for. Last time it was DRG.

Tank: PLD


I level everything eventually, but those are the ones I like most aesthetically.

Tank: GNB
Healer: SGE
Melee: MNK/RPR
P Range: DNC
C Range: SMN

Mele : Reaper if i like it after trying or DRG
Tank : GNB or PLD
Ranged : MCH
Caster : Smn or rdm
Healers : sage if i manadge to be decent with it.

PLD for Tanks, NIN for Melee, SMN for Magic, SCH for Healer and MCH for Ranged(Still have to level this one).

I actually completed all the ShB Role Quests on my alt first, since I had the benefit of foresight and Road to 70! Shisen did them as Gunbreaker, Astrologian, Dragoon and Red Mage! In the meantime though I've leveled Samurai up to 80 (even tho that's my main's... main) because I don't particularly like DRG, turns out, and am in the process of leveling Machinist now, now that we know they're splitting physical DPS into melee and ranged.

Tsiron's were Dark Knight, White Mage, Black Mage and Samurai. I've also now leveled Red Mage, which will probably replace BLM, and am working on Dancer. I... don't know if I really like ranged physical Jobs that much, and have basically not touched either Healer since

Tank: "Paladin" (It's my main job).

Healer: Based on my current knowledge, I'll likely go "Astrologian" unless "Sage" is more fun.

Melee DPS: "Monk" or perhaps "Ninja". Not sure yet. Although, "Reaper" seem fun.

Physical DPS: "Bard".

Caster DPS: Since almost everyone and their dogs will go "Summoner", I'll pick "Black Mage" instead.

But maybe I'll change later (except Paladin and Bard) since I'm only at the end of Stormblood. I expect what I pick for the role quests in Shadowbringer will impact who I chose in Endwalker.

Tank: Paladin

I'll get everything to max level in due time, but they're the jobs that I'll be treating as a priority this time around.

Actually, answering this question I realized (outside of tanks) I really only play one class of each role anyway.
I've levelled others, but really don't keep up with them at all. Heck, I might even stop levelling my other classes all together.

Ranged: MCH
Caster: BLU SMN

...Would totally do the last on BLU if it wasn't 10-20 levels behind cap. >.>

Though atm I'm trying to remember if we had 5 role quests in Shadowbringers. I only recall 4 of them atm i think being broken down to tank, physical dps, magical dps, healer.

There were only 4 in ShB, yeah, likely because they were limited by the number of Ardbert's companions?

PLD and DNC as they're the jobs I play the most.
Reaper and Sage probably to try the jobs out. Unless I just, really really end up hating them from levels 70 to 80 in which case I'll drop them for dragoon and white mage.
Red mage for caster.

Crafters/gatherers will probably be Armorer, Carpenter, Alchemist, Miner and Fisher.

Tank: Gunbreaker
Healer: Sage
Melee: Reaper
P. Range: DNC or MCH [hard to decide]
Caster: Black Mage

Summoner, Astrologian, Reaper, and Paladin.

I max out every job so won't really be an issue but for sure PLD RDM WHM DNC as those are my "mains" for each role. MNK has been my go-to melee since 1.0 but reaper is looking pretty cool...

Tank: Dark Knight - Even though it didn't get anything new and flashy, it's still my favorite tank.
Healer: Sage - New healer go brrr
Melee: Reaper - I'll be doing the MSQ with it and hopefully maining it if I enjoy it enough.
Ranged: Machinist - Shotgun. That's the only reason.
Caster: Black Mage - I'm looking forward to seeing how the new stuff fits in the rotation.

I'll eventually be levelling everything to cap but those are the ones I'll be doing first.

Tank: GNB (PLD?)
Melee: DRG (MNK?)

Caster and Healer are 100% locks. I do also really enjoy BLM so it may actually end up being the second class overall that I get to 90 but, well, it's not RDM. AST is the only healer I really enjoy playing, and I do like it quite a bit overall.
For Tanks, I enjoy how GNB feels to play the most by far, but I've always loved the PLD aesthetic more so if EW PLD plays more like a class I enjoy, I may go PLD.
For Melee, I'm almost guaranteed to go DRG. Something about EW SAM just kind of bores me, but new MNK could jump into first place here depending on if I like the changes or not. I'm not sold so far but I am interested.
For Ranged, I'll probably just go DNC because MCH bores me to tears and I really don't enjoy BRD at all. But MCH is so braindead that if I'm not enjoying the ranged story anyway I may just go MCH so I can sleepwalk my way through it.

Tank: Completely dependent on which relic weapon I get done first, so it's a toss up for me between WAR and PLD. Hopefully PLD though considering it is the class that Endwalker shows off in the trailer.
Healer: AST! ...At least until I unlock Sage. I love AST to death, especially when I spam Gravity, however with Sage being able to heal by doing damage, it definitely has caught my attention!
Melee: This one is a toss up between DRG or Reaper. Hoping that Reaper will be just as fun as DRG.
Ranged: DNC, no questions asked. Love DNC, plus I do like how both the male and female artifact gear looks for level 90.
Caster: RDM... because it's the only caster I have at 80 right now, and I usually like being the one to raise people if things go horribly wrong in fights, which I am anticipating they will on release day/week.

Still working on leveling all of my battle classes, I had made decent progress so far c:

For me:

Paladin for tank.
Scholar and Summoner for healer and caster.
Dragoon for melee.
Dancer for ranged.

Caster: Summoner.
Healer: Scholar.
Tank: Dark Knight.
Melee: Reaper likely, unless I take the extra time before launch to level my Dragoon again. Maybe Samurai, if I'm feeling particularly industrious.
Ranged: Dancer.

Most of them are because they start at higher levels so it'll take less time to level them.

Ranged: DNC and will do story on because Radz al Hahn (and it's my main)
Magical DPS: SMN because the changes intrigue me and I'm considering main switching to it.
Healer: SCH unless SGE is way more fun.
Tank: ??? not sure, probably GNB

I'll do the omni-90 thing anyway but those are my priority jobs.

Melee: Reaper then Dragoon
Tank: Paladin
Ranged DPS: Bard
Taking all of my classes i listed to Trust Dungeons cus i dont like people telling me how to play my class lol . But gonna take Reaper from lv71-80 then to 80-90 + MSQ.
