I watched it. It's the epitome of "wow bad xiv good" memes, painting one business practice as having more integrity over the other. He literally ends his video with "WoW will always be there for the lolz and you can play it till the servers are shut down (...) you can swindle some guy for a few hundred thousand gold" painting WoW players as morally bankrupt vs XIV players.

Also very desingenous since in XIV all dungeon armor is undyeable till 1 or 2 expansions later when they reuse the armor for crafted gear.

If by epitome you mean I touched on the topics mainstream yt creators will not; I appreciate that. The day this vid was released, generic yt creators lampooned the kitten mount in WoW which is hardly vid worthy. The two companies are not hiding what they are, but it seems like you're... trying.. to hide what they are? Or you're just having a bad day- so I'll let you have that. And so you know, I've been dying my gear since it unlocked at level 15 or whatever it is. You can too man. There are guides =)

Prettymuch. I'm not interested in following random clickbait links and giving an extra point to the video's view count just to find out that it's rubbish. Doubly so when YouTube is all "you watched the thing? You must like the thing. We will give you related videos from now on."

Given the tiny number of views, I half-expect this is OP's own channel or something. Anyways...

Yeah, Blizzard's been doing this—delaying or pushing up their launch dates to coincide with their competitors—since the dawn of time. It shouldn't surprise anyone. In this case, though, I'd say that 9.1.5 is actually just a filler patch due to 9.2 being delayed around half a year for reasons, rather than an attempt to keep asses out of their competitors' seats. The last time they had a filler patch like this was, iirc, patch 6.1 back in Warlords of Draenor, where the only thing they added to the game was the S.E.L.F.I.E. toy and Twitter connectivity.

At least they finally pulled their heads out of their behinds and decided to reenable the Mage Tower after giving it the FOMO treatment back in Legion. FFXIV could use something like it. The BLU Carnival is the closest we've got to it, but something tailor made to each Job would be more appropriate.

Neat, maybe you could upload a video guide on how to dye the Paglth'an gear or the Deepshadow gear or Heirloom gear. Maybe that will get you more views than bashing on WoW.

Which is what? I didn't see anything in the video that hasn't been covered by other creators. Seems like your a small channel, thought you could come in with "WoW bad" and people would start upvoting your video and subbing up.

I actually don't do clickbait, that's the big guys who grift money from folks. It's a 5min vid, could just inform yourself by watching it; you'll find it's a fresh take. And then come back here and offer something more than "I bump link threads" :D

If you're a WoW player sharing your experience and how it's different in XIV, then that's good.

So I just watched this video from start to finish and will give a nuanced take: I will have to say -- its pretty disingenuous from start to finish.

1) The whole legendary/covenant point for the Mage Tower: People already were led to believe such powers were not going to be available at the time because they didnt exist in Legion. It wouldnt make sense for an event where you scale down to that content's level to have powers exist and Mage Tower exists as a challenge mode, which was its entire point. Its not a "Blizzard doesnt wants you to get good at the game" point, which is ridiculous -- since you can argue that MT limits current content power to test your abilities of your core class competency. Your follow up point about 'muh carries' during an MT talking point makes no sense either, because MT is a solo instance that you cannot outgear -- meaning its entirely skill based.

2) Then comes to the rewards: "Who asked for this?" is pretty a non-point. Which devolves into a "in FF14 I can dye armor" point. Because we all know every armor set in FF14 is dyeable and they make it always openly available and never behind massive grinds. Lets be real here: I expected a FOMO argument and was let down immensely.

3) The whole 9.1.5 is a last ditch effort point also is complete nonsense. This would be like saying any X.X.5 in FF14 is a last ditch effort to bring people who back who may have unsubbed until the next content patch.

4) "WoW as an MMO ended in WotLK" -- then is FF14 not an MMO? Because doesnt FF14 have a lot of reference point points to Cata/Mists for ARR and so on in their development to relaunch?

Dude I get it, you quit WoW and play FF14 -- stop making it a personality. Its a bloody video game. This is just mind-bogglingly dumb.
