question on new rules, PF, and mount farming

still allowed, or nah?

saw something about paying for clears being allowed if worded "correctly" (silly to me, if the main issue is getting rid of RMT, but im just a player)

Examples of violations:
- Selling [duty] clear for 1 million gil.
- Selling [duty] clear and/or offering the associated rewards from [content]. Join for more info/details.

Examples of non-violation:
- I'm new, can anyone help me clear [duty]?
- Help me clear [duty] and I'll pay you 1 million gil!
- I'd like to get some items from [duty]. will pay 1 million gil if I can get it.

Selling a clear or otherwise for Gil or RL money is prohibited, offering a Gil reward for getting assistance for something is not.

You can still farm and do runs . You just can't sell speedruns, clears, tank/healer queues, etc. If you're looking to buy/sell an item in game on the Party Finder, SE wants you to use the "Other" tag.

Correct they are still allowed as simply all you're doing is assisting someone(s).

how can you "offer gil" to people in a PF? i thought you couldnt trade with or add ppl in a pf group to your friends list?

You can trade with anyone they don't have to be at on your friends list. Now if you wanted to mail something to them then they would have to be on your friends list.

right but most of the people you pair with in PF are on diff worlds within your data center, most, if not all options are disabled when world hopping, is trade enabled? or do you have to mail them? havent used the world visit system that much i know originally summoning bell and market board was allowed but then they disabled it because ppl just hopped to the cheaper servers to buy if they were on an expensive server and sold on their own

You can use any market board on world visit to purchase items but you can't sell items, you are a correct hough you cannot utilize the summoning bell on a different world other than your own home world. Yes you can trade with other players on world visit.

You would travel to their world via the visit system. If youve never tried visiting, its pretty easy. You go to the big aetheryte in a starting city, and the option to visit is right on the list. Pick their world, click go, and the game ques you over to their world.

this is incorrect, the market board is disabled on world visit for purchase, for the reason i stated before, because people would go to servers that had a lot of crafters when they were on one with few, and buy up the cheaper materials and either craft with them and sell the products at a higher cost on their own server or resell the bought items on their own world, to counteract that, anything to do with marketboard and summoning bell was disabled, least last i heard

Huh… guess I *didnt* just world visit from Sargatanas to Faerie to buy a cheaper item! :P

I was about to say.. I could swear I was doing this exact thing. Buy cheap on other servers, craft the "expensive" current hot glamours on Sarg. Made a bunch of those Vietnamese hats for like 30k each, sold em for 200k. People are smarter about shopping now but you can still find some deals if you're willing to put in time.

Back when the jeans from the peacelovers coffer were selling for hundreds of thousands of gil, I went server hoping and bought coffers at 10-20k a pop. Made a pretty penny. I also do this with the casual attire top and shoes to this day. It's not as profitable as before (where the top would sell for millions but the coffer was a fraction of that) but it still makes a profit.

hmm coulda sworn they disabled even interacting with the market board, maybe they re-enabled it after re-enabling world visit again now that the restoration is done? i believe you guys when you say it's currently enabled, just distinctly remember the bell AND market board telling me to go away when visiting another world a year or so ago and just assumed itd stay that way, but that opens new doors for me if its open lol

Yeah when I first joined (about a year ago) MB was open to me. It's only been the bell as far as I know.
