This is nice to see, that all jobs are able to take on garuda, rather than the later :P tq for linking this video. ^^
Nice, thanks for posting
This video makes me SO HAPPY to see. I like seeing all jobs utilized. For all the people complaining that they are being 'forced to job stack again', this should end your complaints completely.
Impressive, now maybe the whiners can stop.
Love this!! Thanks for the post. I'm all about people being able to use the jobs they enjoy and it's nice to see it can be done.
Speedrun too!
2 Archers? STACKING!
jk :D its epic!
This is nice, I hope lots of Gungnir folk see this cos tonight there was only us and one other group not going into Garuda 5 BLM 1 BRD 1 WAR 1 WHM lol.
See goes to show if you know how to play your jobs you don't need to use such boring party setups
you know the blm did 50% of the damage tho lol
They should give special achievement for doing this in every content to encourage every LS do it.
It's not that we didn't think people could do it, it's that people choose NOT to do this. They always go for the most boring, easiest way out while telling others who don't have a specific class to get lost. It's sad because I'm still seeing select class/job only parties for Ifrit still lol.
I can't like that video enough.
There's a reason I am so in favor of tuning content so that there's no excuse to NOT bring a balanced and diversified comp for bosses.
Seconded.
You'll be able to gloat when I see this sort of comp used by most or every group running Garuda and all future content. Until then, this is the exception, not the rule.
Anyway, nice vid. Just wish I could better see how that PLD is playing so I could take some notes.
Finally, Paladins can get in on the action.
Heh, really nice that someone filmed this process. I saw a lot of excellent usage of resources in there. Really good stuff. And those were Gungnir folk too. Representing.
<3 that jp team
as I suspect, it's not jobs broken, it's just most ppl donno how to operate it properly.
pld tank too!
At least there are some people out there still facing the actual fight. Most of the community has shown that when given the choice between a fun challenge and a free loot button they push the button every time.
Not enough dragoon stacking imo
I'm pretty happy to see this myself, as our LS is a big fan of multi job/class strats.
The best Garuda video I've seen thus far, amazing job.
Absolutely made my day.
Can't say it enough. This just proves that if you learn the mechanics of the fight it can be done just as easily as brute forcing it with some kind of all out burn Garuda to the ground tactic. That video made this strat look just as easy. Congrats to that group for sure!
Now we just need other people to see this, rather than the most over used phrase I have seen "BG's strat is the best" I was actually told once (this is serious) "DRG and MNK are useless for Garuda, BG's strat is the best way to go" (paraphrase, but it has the important part in).
Knowing how to play your job > stacking BLM and BRD for everything.
This type of stratagy shows these are better players than the people who come up with the stacking stratagies, GoGo JP ls, Oh and inb4 JP BUTTON!!!!!!!
This is a problem I have with both the FFXI and FFXIV community. They always believe one way is the only way. It has been like that since the FFXI days on major boss fights. It is a lot worse in FFXIV however. Not once (and not saying I am better) have I seen people use diverse parties to defeat a primal/dungeon.
While you can pin some blame on SE for making some ridiculous conditions for these fights, they are not impossible to pass. Simply having skill and experienced WHM's can get anything done in this game.
Unfortunately this is true, I went to CC last night, the leader who I will not name, said to me before we started to gather "If we do CC and you might beable to come DRG", when we gather I say I am going DRG I get told "best to go BLM first to learn then we can see about DRG" I then reply "how am I supposed to learn to play DRG in there on BLM" it was only then that I was allowed to go DRG, and I compromised by swapping to BLM for Chimera.
I have to add that this was my 2nd run of CC (I know I know) but I stand by what I say about people going what they want unless a certain class (normally tank or healer) is needed.
This video is so awesome! Much more fun to watch (and probably be a part of) than having everyone hide behind the rocks the majority of the time. No offense meant, but I was a little let down watching most of the other"1st" and "strategy" video's out there. I'd take this party set-up over any of the others just because it looks far more enjoyable. Even the whitemage is out there in the middle of the battle.. not always hiding in a corner. Cool things happen when you know how to utilize your abilities. The paladin is even the main tank.. and did quite well.
Sorry to post here. I saw a topic on Garuda battle guide (translated from japanese to english), but I forgot the actual topic's name. Would someone kindly lead me to the topicc please. Original guide is from a lodestone blog (JP's).
It just goes to show that it isn't the jobs or the classes, but the players.
wow, a PLD main tank, I guess it shows Yoshi-P and the rest of the team know what what they are doing, it just takes someone to get to know the job, awsome video I love it :D
I just love seeing DRG's being used
I wish i could be in more parties like this. It's always been more Black mages, at lest two White mages, and a Warrior for a tank. This video really made my day! I thank those players for makeing this video!
The main problem is that the primal fights are designed to be grinded. Therefore, it's only natural that people want to get them done as quickly and efficiently as possible. The moment they create content where challenge -> reward, is when people will start doing more things like this.
That said, what impressed me the most about this video was that it was done fairly fast even with all jobs present! ^^
