Game Theory <white-mage suggestions for spells>

I do not know why I should have to explain what a game suggestion is. but it seems vast majority of forums. think that my white-mage suggests are indeed. what squire-enix is actually gonna do it. no

Please note these are ability theories that are different the dps and healing. a third opinion you can say. another responsibility . we need think outside the box. try something new.

New Role

Brand - Place Brand on the target this heal nearby targets around the target healing all for 300 potency with radius of the heal is dependant on size of the monster your fighting. this is triggered however when other healer in the party. the other healer in your 8 man party have cast single target dps ability to trigger Brand and deal critical damage. once brand is triggered its is consumed all targets effect by the heal deals 3-5% more damage for 8-10 seconds. 120 cool-down brand is new concept that requires teamwork to function. watch mmorpgs should welcome abilities focus on teamwork.

Holy II - Instant Cast Holy - Deals 120 potency damage - to all targets (60 cd)
additional effect: places dia on all targets effected. Duration 30 seconds
1 lily or 1200-1500 MP

Lily bloom - consumes all existing lily bells. are massive heal over time potency 100 per each lily consumed for 25 seconds radius is all those close to lilybell when it popped

Double-Cast - Allows you cast single spell twice without paying extra cost in MP. however you sacrifice your ability to crit with them

Double + Miseries
Double + Assize
Double + any aoe

Traits - Overgrowth - dia spells cause target deal 3-5% less damage but regan spells casts target gain 5% direct hit or either 5% crit.

This is going to end well....

I am going to conced that Double-cast actually has merit as a skill. Not much merit, but there is an interesting idea there. Also, it can't work on Assize since that's an ability, not spell. If it was an oGCD Lily ability that duplicated your last healing cast (not that that much healing is actually necessary in most content) and stored it for later, that could lead to some interesting ideas, kinda like SAMs double Midare button.

Everything else though is a hot mess.

With all due respect, the official forums are the only avenue to give feedback to the developers (ostensibly). If you dont think your ideas could be feasibly or even realistically implemented, this is not the place to post them.

Theyre not meant to be social forums, nor they are for spitballing fun what-ifs. There are plenty of other online spaces for this kind of stuff.

Please try to keep discussion in these forums productive.

I think the issue is lack of disclaimers they are suggestions. You recent post didn't and the title was "Future White Mage Abilities".

Prior to this your post "New White Mage abilities - 100% tr" had:

- The title

- "these are spoilers. and most likely be subject to change before endwalker"

And that isn't seen as "suggestions".

There is a pretty useful tool on your character profile to post blog entries. You can post there and people interested in what you have to say can read it. It's pretty perfect for what you are posting.

The immediate issue I see is Double Cast - this is stealing form the RDM's identity. The ability to use both white and black magic and using doublecast to make up for the lack of raw power is the whole reason Red Mage is worth investing in when it shows up in most of its appearances. You're asking for speed casting, the signature of RDM, for a power caster like WHM. It makes very little sense for an MMO - the fact that you could give other mages doublecast in games like FF5 and FFTA are why Red Mage became train-and-dump in those games. It'd be bad design for 14.

Also... why buffs? Like, we WHMs are stupid strong healers. Those suggestions are complete overkill.

Just give me a water spell that I can juggle between Aeroes and Stone spells and I'll be happy since it completes the druid trio.

You made a thread about EW WHM abilities during the Media Tour, claimed what you posted was 100% true spoilers, and people called you out when you refused to give credit to any source, because no one is truly stupid enough to post actual leaks on the official forums.

You also made a recent "Future White Mage Abilities" post that had no mention of speculation of any sort as well.

If anyone actually believes that your ridiculous threads are what SE will do, it's because you are NOT claiming that they are speculations in the first place. Maybe be a little more self-aware of your threads before you assume why people fall for your stuff.

As for the suggestions on this thread, all "flashy and engaging" and unbalanced as hell. Just like Every. Other. Thread. You. Made.

Actually they was gonna do all of them but it changed every heard subject to change. pitch of salt. most of that stuff was all gonna happen but they changed it. remade lilybell. they took away water spell. but i told you they took away fluid aura and they did. they added aquaviel watch is defensive cooldown target watch i was right. getting name wrong isn't big deal it still same thing. they did say in interveiw that holy may effect lilies i only quote yoshi p said himself during interveiw but then desided to change it. dude like seriously don't like my ideas and suggestions there ignore button. you have power to not read. no ones forcing you be toxic just saying

People in these forums are aware of what a suggestion is; the problem is that you misleadingly presented your personal preferences as factual multiple times in the past and have been pretty aggressive about it as well.

You never apologized for the purposeful misinformation and passive-aggressive behavior, and you never gave a source (not even one that ended up being unreliable) for your supposed information. Heck, you even double-downed on misinformation earlier in this very thread. This is why some people are understandably uncomfortable.

I hope these repeatedly spammed threads are moderated, and thanks to any moderators who take action.

You really said "you don't pay my sub" to justify your actions. That speaks louder than you think.

Just as you have the right to post whatever you please here, we have every right to criticize them as well. Yea, we've been a bit harsher on you, myself especially, but that's because we see someone who randomly started a couple weeks ago coming in and declaring some of their suggestions and speculations as "100% true leaks" when no one else would give that info when you posted it. It's that sort of thing that gives a bad impression about you.

Like I've said before, you do have some interesting ideas, Victoria. It's the main reason I have read almost all of your threads, because you are indeed creative. But your ideas clash against what FF is balanced towards, and that's why we've said it won't work, and even pointed out why.

The problem here isn't us being "toxic" or "flaming" against you. The issue is the fact that your ego is preventing you from listening to some actual concerns and criticisms from those who have experience with the game, both casually and high-end.

I'm sorry if I did hurt your feelings with my replies, but I do think you refusing to apologize for actually misleading people, intentionally or not, is straight up petty and more toxic than anything we've said about your suggestions.

This is another example of you being needlessly provocative and rude. It's not only something from ten days or so ago too when you've again defended purposeful misinformation within this very thread. Please review the terms of use sometime; paying a sub like the rest of us doesn't give anyone an excuse to repeatedly violate them and create a negative environment filled with provocation.

Regarding this specific sentence though, I'm genuinely not sure what you mean here; can you please rephrase this?

Anyway, I sincerely hope a moderator looks at these repeatedly spammed threads soon, and thanks a lot to anyone who does; I appreciate harassment and spam being closely looked at, and I'm grateful for the time that any moderators spend trying to enforce the terms of use across the game and its forums.
