We can replay cutscenes, so now how about music?

So now that our inn rooms are becoming more functional with novelties such as a book we can view past quests and cutscenes, an armoir with which to store our event and artifact gear and a bed we can now all curl up in, I thought I might make a suggestion to implement a way to replay any of FFXIV's background music.

My thought was perhaps some kind of item in the room, such as an urn (Ul'dah Radio Network) built on linkpearl technology. We could simply click on said urn and be privy to a random background music (subsequent clicks would continue to randomly choose a song) that we and any of our guests to our room can enjoy while relaxing in the inn.

How about a female miqo'te bard, that stays in my room and plays the music for me. >.>

I'd really like that in Dissidia and FFIV collectors edition It was alot of fun to go through the music and listen to songs I may haven't heard before

Clever idea Taelyn! :) We asked the dev. team if they have any plans on adding a jukebox feature in the future and they let us know that they're currently considering adding this sometime in 2.0!

There was an area in Whitegate that allowed us to do this. I loved replaying Bahamut's theme!

This would be epic, I'd really love it. I'd love to listen to them all, but if you want to add more elements to it, do it similar to the cutscenes where you only get music you've actually gone and listened to in-game!

No my friend, it was a long time before Abyssea lol, I think damn well 6 monthsish after ToAU went live..so just before WoTG's announcement iirc.

FFXIV's soundtrack is pretty solid. Amidst all the problems at launch it stood out as one of the strong points.

I so want this, good idea! I think they should add a element to it so you have to "get" the disc or what ever media the music could fit on, before you are able to invite your friends to your home and play the tunes for them!

mmm.... not all cutscenes can be replayed. Examples are the primal fights since 99% of the times most of my pt demand this to be skipped or else the battle timing will be messed up pretty bad. Or that specific "nightmare"... :p

Can this be viewed somehow? And not thru the not-so-great-quality streaming videos like utube... ;D

You can listen to the great FFXIV I-II-III ost with this album, "Piano Opera" it's very nice arrangement and performance :)
