What the eff? No public double melds etc?

Wanted to try a 2x meld (or 3x) on some pants I couldn't do myself... Bought all the materia/catalysts... Put em in bazaar for single melds.. Done. Tried to put em back in bazaar for another "meld request". Fail. No dice? I don't care if they blow up, just seems weird i can /bazaar for a single meld but not a double. Maybe allow but increase the fee (or decrease for fail heh)?.. I just assumed it would be possible so eh... PS2 limitations? Anyone heard from the devs on this? Or even care? lol.. Seems like something that should have been implemented with the system itself... Especially since single melds blow and the whole idea is to let people use DoH even if they aren't bff's with one.

should have read the patch notes more carefully, double meld or more is not possible.

it either has to do something with the current system. or simply that you have to put more effort into getting double or more melds done.

what i dont like that you can only put one! gear at a time up for melding.

I 'suspect' that this is a protection mechanism from:

I put it up for a double meld and someone came and blew up my super douper sentinel glove!

First meld = 100%, subsequent, not so much.

I read em just don't recall seeing the "1 meld only!" clause.. Also yes having only one meld up at a time is also lame. Why not at least have the /10char routine like bazaar repairs? Good call. Just wanted to bring it up for discussion. If it's irrelevant to everyone else, so be it. I don't usually make threads. But to derail myself, I may just make one about controller users only getting enough macro's for ~half of the jobs... Anyway, back to single meld only qq'ing...

I suspect the same, which makes me think they believe we're all derp'd. lol.. Just seems kinda hard to accidentally put your meld up for another if it's uber... Doubt anyone with 3x/4x melds would put them up for another, considering they'd need catalyst and materia in inventory, and aren't just "lucky" they had then in the first place...

Edit: yeah.. upon further consideration, no one would ever do that by accident.

I do however stand by my derp comment... It's an attempt to unify DoH and DoW/M in a positive way much like repairs... Why limit it?

An item to be melded that is level 45 needs a 45+ crafter.
A 50 crafter would have a higher chance to succeed than a 45 crafter.
There is no way for you to control whether a 50 or a 45 attempts the forbidden meld.
For this reason, only single melds are done through the bazaar.

No. Currently, nothing changes the meld success rates. I can only imagine they limited it in this way because they intend to add some way to increase double meld rates later on, but right now, nothing does, not even crafter level.

If they allowed for x2 melding the QQing in forums would go into overload, "well if i woulda known it was only 10% chance i wouldn't have done it QQ, QQ, QQ"

That is most likely why. If you AFK you can't know the % success rate and some people may want to back out depending on what the success rate is.

Good call... And yes once again I missed seeing "single meld only" in the patch notes, my point is that it's lame, and could probably easily be changed. Maybe they should show the meld % to the person requesting it when they put it up for meld? And as far as I know being level 45 instead 50 has absolutely nothing to do with Meld Success %... At 43 WVR I have the exact same success rate as my buddy who's 50 on Woolen Tights...?
