Am I the only one who gets annoyed by jingle sound?

I like this game music a lot and always spend time wandering around to listen, but jingle sounds in many occasions are kinda immersion breaking for me. They are worse than in-combat and mount music cuz there are no way to turn them off.



Like, I'm listening to the nice overworld music, then a FATE suddenly spawns within my range. The "thump, thump, thump" sound stops the music playing for a while. Worse if it is a boss, cuz it completely changes the music into a ear-grinding one until I move away.



Same with quest jiggle. I absolutely hate the ShB one that briefly interrupts the music flow to go for a loud out-of-place fanfare.


The worst offender is the jingle from Quick Time Events. Tanking in Susano is suffering, because you have to hear the alert jingle twice. While the sound may help to alert sleepy heads or people with visual impairing, I can clearly see the big word "Quick Time Maneuver" and the big "Press Me" button on the on the screen.


I wish there are options to turn off such jingle sound.

More sound options sound nice. You can send it to them as feedback.

It doesn't bother me, but I see no reason why they couldn't implement some sort of toggle. They've done other things for less reasons, or seemingly no reasons at all.

Honestly personally I'm not even big on fates music, because like there's 4 and it gets so repetitive.

It is funny that SE makes new in-combat each expansion just for a good number of people to just turn them off after a while, but refuses to make new music for FATE boss that everyone are forced to listen.

Doesn't bother me but I don't see why they couldn't do a QoL adjustment for it for those it does bother.

At first I thought this would be about the "Duty Finder ready" chime. That I could do without. Especially on console since it plays out of the controller and isn't affected by turning down the sound on the TV.

I’d love it if they gave the option to ignore Fate areas on gatherers at least. I was surprised there isn’t an option to turn it off but I guess one could argue they serve as an alert on combat classes. On my gatherers I love to listen to the zone music I’m in and relax, and Fate music is quite disruptive to that state of mind. The only times where I’ll swap to a combat class when I’m gathering in an area with a Fate, it’s to get rid of the music so I can go back to chilling :D

I rather like it.

Tbh those combat songs also suffer from the same repetitiveness and it ruins the zone atmosphere/music most often than not

+1 for the "this doesn't bother me but I guess options are nice" camp

Just from the title I was thinking for a second this was going to be about the Bard dingaling arm wave, which would have made me sad.
