The interstellar transmitter in Azyz Lla was already a hint for spaceships, but after that long time, I didn't expect to get more than that anymore.

Yeah, they showed the Allagan spaceship in the Mare Lamentorum trailer. Here's another angle:

As much as it looks like it still works or is at least powered up somehow, judging by the blue lights, it looks crashed and the tower architecture in Mare Lamentorum doesn't look Allagan -- instead, it looks Amaurotine -- so I'll bet Allag's space program didn't go as well as they wished.
Also they lifted up an artificial moon... while maybe not as high as the real one, the sure know how to space travel lol
Well the Allagans put Dalamud into space. Plus the "swords" that were expelled from Dalamud in the ARR scene are called "Ragnarok-class starships". So they were definitely in space, but how far they went and what else they may have done up there is something else altogether but I'm sure we'll find out when we go ourselves.
Any bets on "Allagan spaceship dungeon with recycled Labyrinth/Syrcus gear models"?
Late Allagan would probably fit better but they don't seem to recycle PVP models (at least thus far) and we're overdue for the others being reused.
Technically speaking, we don't yet know that the Allagans reached the moon, even if that is a perfectly reasonable conclusion.
We know the Allagans hit the moon. We don't know if any Allagans were on the thing they shot at it.
Maybe that is the spaceship we will use to reach the moon and it crashed when we got up there? Then somehow we find a way back down.
They have a starship as per Bahamut series..
I think Allagan was at least an interstellar empire.
We know Allagans had communicators capable of transmitting the distance "between stars" (as per the description of the Hyperstellar Downconverter), so it's not impossible that there are Allagans in space somewhere.
Also that ship is totally the Ragnarok from FFVIII, calling it now.
We also don't know when that ship arrived on the moon. It might have been up there since before the fall of the Empire -- or it could be very recent, maybe launched there from Dalamud when it started falling. It's even entirely possible that it's how we get to the moon in the first place -- we could hastily jury-rig a scavenged ship because we need to get to the moon very fast for some reason, and end up crashing it there as our starting point into Mare Lamentorum. There are plenty of different possibilities. It's clear that it would have been possible for the Allagans to get to the moon -- Dalamud itself would probably be enough evidence of that -- but the history of this particular ship has yet to be told.
The Ragnarok already exist in game - It is the name of the massive "keys" also called "engines" of the superstructure of Dalamud, you descend into the claw of Bahamut of Turn 5 through The Ragnarok.
But they are indeed space flight related, at least allowed Dalamud to achieve escape velocity and be put into orbit. We will probably have Cid and Nero to retro-engineer a Ragnarok Engine so we can go to the moon - Which makes me think that map feature is exactly how we are gonna get to Mare Lamentorum.
Ragnarok Engine Mark VIII.
Allagans literally used Gods as batteries, I’m sure interstellar travel is child’s play
OK. Nitpick here.
Allag may have been capable of interplanetary travel. The satellite named Dalamud is proof enough of that.
There is no reason to believe they had the capability of interstellar travel.
Not necesarily.
Technically "we" are also able to probably start throwing mass into orbit and come up with an artificial moon. For Interstellar travel you need an entirely diferent order of magnitude in both technological advancement AND energy output.
But the Allagans did become the hiper-advanced civilization they were by retro-engineering Omega - If they managed to understand interstellar travel is unknown and interdimensional - Well the Crystal Tower kinda solved that part, again, with massive amounts of energy.
For interplanetary travel, thats probably a joke for the Allagans at certain point. But we do know very little of the system we are in: As in what other planets are close by, what features they have, we know of the Dragonstar and Omega planets, but those are far far far faaar away. Maybe the Allagans were simply not interested in space-travel to begin with...
Maybe it is dangerous.
Maybe both laughing and sleeping gods move their tendrils in the darkness between stars, maybe the chtonic entities we were shown as the "Final" enemies of the End Days are presicely that threat that kept smart civilizations away from outer space.
Also take into account that Allag was engineered by Emet-Selch, it's entirely possible the Ascians could have sabotaged any interstellar projects the Allagans had in the works beyond Dalamud. Especially if there are Amaurotine ruins on the moon, which I'm sure they wouldn't want discovered.
That's no moon. It's a space station.
Slightly off topic. It takes months, not days to reach Mars. 7 months and that's with perfect allignment. Travelling to the next star will require either FTL travel or cryogenics. I do wonder how we'll get to the moon the first time though. Maybe we do use an old allagan rocket or something.
