Please convert Consumable Toys into Emotes!

By Consumable Toys means something like the Realm Reborn Red or the Magicked Prisms.

There is alot of these consumable items (51 currently, 52 when the 2021 Rising event starts) and they take up alot of inventory space if you want to have planty to use.

I suggest that these items instead be made into emotes and the orginal items such as Magicked Prisms be removed from the game.

We coud have them be rewards froma variety of content such as Grand companys for the GC items, or from future Season Events (such as Realm Reborn Red from the Rising e.t.c.)

I understand that these items are consumables so players who want them will repeat the events multiple times to stock up but it seems a poor way to get players involved over making the events give exp for lower level players or even other consunable items player will actually use and want to stock up on such as Hi-Cordials, repair materials, old minions e.t.c.

Agree completely. I actually quite like a lot of the "fireworks" effects but don't bother even picking up the items when they're on offer because I know they'll just end up taking space in my inventory. If I do end up with some, rather than holding onto to them until I find reason to use them I'll just throw them out. As it stands, they really are just trash but they have the potential to be legitimate collectables.

Wouldn’t mind this either; I rarely use fireworks because they are both consumable and eat my inventory space... so in my brain I wanna save them for a good time or just forget them entirely because I needed space for other things.

I've still got over 900 bottles of Real Reborn Red from when they were first introduced. An emote would be nice. lol

I'd all be for seeing the Toy Box idea brought from WoW to be honest. Beyond these firework such stuff it would be cool to encourage SE to goof off more. Stuff ranging from perhaps a bit more feature snowball (throw snowball moved to become a toy with basic mechanics, ammo ui, make, toss, lives that cause you to be stunned when expended (only possible if you activate the toy, no involuntary stuns), to like chocobo feather that makes you slow fall, or shoes that give you double sprint duration (both outside of combat / instances).

I agree with this for the items that actually have a character animation tied to them, best example off the top of my head being Realm Reborn Red. The fireworks are mostly (all?) just a graphical effect that originates from the ground in front of your character or from your character's hand while they do nothing.

We have so many different fireworks that are just recolors or .jpg swaps that they would need to make a whole Fireworks category if they were to turn them into emotes. But also let's face it they won't get rid of their best source of consolation prizes for the various lootboxes in different content.

But if they made the fireworks into emotes, what would they give you in Bojzan chests/Deep Dungeon chests!?

teleport tickets, retainer tokens, crystals and shards, tomes of differing types, seals, maybe even special relic progression currency or something (help progress previous relics, 1000 sparkling garlean pocket lint skips a page on your book step, or converts directly into light farm, etc). I know you were more like joke asking but I feel they certainly could replace the silly fireworks with something slightly more interesting.

This is beyond silly at this point. FFXIV Devs need to design a toybox or make them emotes. Put a CD on them if need be.

Totally signed. It's already an item I dragged onto my hotbar, it would be exactly the same as an emote, just take up less inventory space.

I'd be cool with it too honestly. Biggest thing would be getting them to stop presenting them as booby prizes from lockboxes which just makes us kinda hate them lol

A special category of emotes for fireworks and toys would be nice indeed!

Ummm I’m actually fully behind them being made into emotes. I don’t even bother picking up the items anymore, just for the fact inventory space is a precious commodity.

Hydalaen on a cross you guys are dumb. You guys do realize they're going to shove those item emotes onto the store? There is no benefit to these being emotes. The parasol/wings/teddy bear emotes were already bad enough but a spammable particle effect is over the line. I don't afk in Limsa like a majority of the playerbase but I can already see what a headache it'd be in normal content when some unfunny memer wearing a frog mask and a subligar is spamming Maelstrom Sparklers in Orbonne.
Upgrade the servers/engine/netcode before adding more useless trash.

I like using these fireworks and stuff while on the training dummy so I can use them in place of a potion while I practice. Them being consumable and all means I run through them and have even less to ration out for photos, weddings, and fun times with the FC.

Perhaps instead of calling everyone dumb, you could simply explain why you feel it's a bad idea. If you're incapable of having a varying opinion without insulting the other side, you may want to rethink how you interact with people.

That would help with space alot.

Those aren't insults those are facts. I'm tired of seeing how frustratingly simple minded the people who play XIV are. None of this auxillary items/systems aren't needed. It's just more tripe that's adding to the mass of their duct tape engine.

Oh I would love this! I always immediately vendor them or use them instantly because I hate how it takes up space. Its kind of a shame because the intent of these items seem fun but very impractical.

What if, you had to collect a certain number of the firework, and then once you did, you turned it in somewhere, maybe something in your inn room, maybe an NPC somewhere, and then they took that item and a million gold and gave you the emote.

This makes the emote cost at least 1 million on the marketplace, so they'll never be trivial for anybody. It'll also mean a steady stream of the fireworks from POTD and everywhere else being turned into emotes, so they will never sell for base cost ever again.

This makes even the junk rewards from POTD slightly worth while.

If the amount needed is a factor that's different for every item, this lets each one be balanced. You wouldn't set it to be a stack of 999 from the latest event, because running the fate that often might be days of misery. But I'm sure there is a number such that the average person could get one converted, and the obsessive person might be able to convert them all.

And yes, this means that Bojah just requires 999 to get the emote from the prism, we'll all get there, eventually. Those who don't want them can sell to those who do.

Considering how much of a premium inventory space is and how much I LIKE firework effects but detest how utterly useless they are otherwise..

This is a pretty good idea... maybe not.. a Million Gil though. While older players do have money lying around to burn like this a lot of newer players or players who don't participate in any marketboard shenanigans, a million is a very large percentage of their total wealth.

But back on point with this post. My Husband has a retainer filled with fireworks/Realm Reborn Red/ special effect consumables, he would be the happiest man in the world if they were emotes, consider me apart of this suggestion!

In context of fleas, war, trenches, I'm okay not having rats in my surprise loot box :P. Pet rats are cute though.

But if they add magicked prisms to the emotes, what will they stuff in my Bozjan boxes?

Definitely agree, I will understand the very minimal one but some of consumables are pretty much emote worthy.

And by the same time, move them out of lockboxes from eureka & bozja so we can actually have useful reward.

This seems like a nice idea.

Yes...

Thus my suggestion that you have to save up HUGE amounts of the consumable junk to turn it into an emote.
This makes them valuable, and something you look forward to for a while, and then turns them into junk again after the market settles.
They don't go away, and yet the mood about them changes.
