I wish we had smaller Machinist weapons

I was looking at weapon glamours for machinist and noticed all the weapons tend to be bulky or have long barrels to them.
I saw we had a weapon from garo event and ended in 5.1 that looked like a small pistol.
I wish we could get more weapons similar to that.
What does everyone think?

i think we need more smaller weapons in general.... ninja has a lot of large weapons too

I personally prefer larger weapons mainly because they are easier to see and appreciate. That's also the reason why I stopped playing a potato during ARR back in the day.

I prefer the current rifle/shotgun type weapons but I'm ok with more hand guns type weapons since I know others really enjoy those and more options is more better!

Personally I would really like a crossbow skin for guns cause crossbows are the coolest.

Although I’d avocate to have more weapon models included & frankly hopefully ones with much less “gigantic/robust/magical/unreal” ones & more akin to sort of realism & simple yet gracefull & still appealing.

Let me tell you this though….not compare to WoW, that game has huge robust everything big & unusual which bothered me most but then again Final fantasies similarly shares that trend ((which personally makes me cringe)).

If you change to a lalafell they will become small. A lot of them become pistols.

I think on some level they're oversized just so for visibility's sake, especially during normal gameplay when (I assume) you've got the camera zoomed way out. The game is... fairly inconsistent in regard, though I've noticed ARR tended to have the most reasonably sized weapons (if you look at like daggers or polearms etc.)

My favourite, by which I mean I hate it, is weapons that are stupidly thick. A recent example as I was trying to find good glams for DRG: Spear of the Fury looks great... except it's wide enough that you might call it a bludgeoning weapon, if anything...

I really wish the smaller, pistol like guns sheathed at the hip. I love the Garo weapon but it looks so stupid on the back.

I would prefer more bulky guns myself. The ones with a toothpick barrel are just awful, and there are so many of them...

Bigger the gun, bigger the boom! I like the hand cannons, personally. Makes me think of Wild Arms. The original concept was a large flintlock style pistol, almost as long as a rifle. Historically, some flintlock pistols were up to almost 2 feet in length.

Bigger is better.

Similarly, I'd like to see some just traditional rifles and carbines - I'm totally fine with gaudy weapons being common, and even the norm. But it would be nice to see some more minimalist looks available.

Lol as if that’s a issue y’all use your guns so infrequently that it’s slowly being replaced by other skills hence the only new skill in MCH benchmark being a aoe for the can-opener thingy we hide in our ass

Of all the many uninteresting things about MCH, it’s Gun skills are up there being bland and samey. Like if SAM just started using spells

I would like the MCH to be able to move during flamethrower. Why does it seem everytime you use it the enemy targets where you standing with a AOE XD

I don't mind their size, but SE should really change the animations to a rifle carry instead.

Variety is the spice of life, after all. There's a DRK weapon that is basically a samurai sword despite the fact that SAM is already available as a job.

I'd appreciate more pistol based models. I know there's one already courtesy of the Garo event, though that's only an option for those of us who were around for it.

While I like doing all of that, I would much rather have certain skills just perform those kinds of feats instead of my main rotation. I'd prefer to have my main rotation be more focused on getting the best shot and the way the weapon is held changes on what type you use. Big guns, hold with both hands, small guns hold with one hand. Mid sized guns, hold with one hand.

Counterpoint, I think SAM should get more straight swords even if they're nowhere near as conducive to iaido

Personally I'm a fan of the Trigun-esqe Deepshadow pistol:

It still has that "long barrel" but at least it's still kinda one handed looking as opposed to most of the other stuff which is like.. 50 lbs of gunk hanging off a pistol grip.

Not really a fan of the shorter/smaller guns, but they fit the single handed animations Mch uses so its understandable. Personally would have loved some like 2 handed animations with some much longer barreled rifles...

Quite literally my only issue with the Garo pistol. Otherwise I’d use it all the time. It looks incredibly silly on my back.
