I really like the Samurai aesthetic, and DRK is the closest tank job that lets me realize that aesthetic when not actually in Samurai mode. I have the thin DRK nodachi glamour and I use it often, but I'm always on the lookout for more weapons to fit into this look, and I just happened to run into this:

I often say that I don't want to have my head turned by "late game" goals in this game, so I've never looked into these, but it's worth asking I guess about relics: Are they a time gate or a skill gate? Are they an inevitability after a long grind of things I can do without scheduling things with other players?
My mindset often defaults to WoW's "of course you can't have that until the content is trivialized to solo in two expansions," and I'm used to that so I'm ready to hear that or something worse here. I have decent weapon glamours for all my jobs, that fit into my look, so it's not the end of the world if relics are just outside my vision of where this game fits in my life, but I thought I'd ask.
As an aside, I'd love to not have to ask the community these kinds of questions, but you don't seem to have a "WoWhead equivalent" (which has pros and cons), unless I missed that.

Thanks for asking the question and for the info as well! I'm a newish player and have been seeing others with similar weapons so I've been curious as well (although I haven't gotten to Shadowbringers content yet, still working my way up, lol)
And I feel ya on the WoWHead thing... I have to admit, it's really not fun trying to look up information for this game at times. The videos for dungeons are nice when I have time to sit and watch them, but that's not all of the time so I also like to have something I can read as well. However, there just aren't any decent sites, at least not ones that won't explode a dozen+ ads in your face the moment you try to launch 'em.
I've seen the Discord some folks make, but that has it's own limits as well. I'm admittedly just surprised that nobody has made a proper WoWHead equivalent for FFXIV yet. Seems like an amazing opportunity, if they can figure out how to do it without blasting people's eyeballs with ads (seriously, on my phone I can't even read most of those sites because they cover 70% of the screen). -

The sword is the final form of the level 80 relic weapon. You can start the quests in Kugane after completing the ivalice alliance raids, which also start in Kugane.

The quests will take you into Bozja and then Zadnor and through 3 large-scale raids that are casual to do really, but involves a lot of grinding, some of these steps have been nerfed a bit recently.

Overall, the fansites for FFXIV tend to be more focused on certain topics than broadscope like WoWhead.
Don't be afraid to ask around in the community when you're looking for certain types of information. Someone can usually direct you to a website, Discord or content creator channel with the information you want. Eventually, you'll get a good collection of references that will reduce the need to ask others.
